There are a lot of delicious food in Daowai (Old) District, including many unique Muslim restaurants!

Most of them are concentrated in Beihuan Road 19th Street, such as Dahongmei, Qingzeng, etc., and in Xuanyuan Community, Lao Renyi, Leslie Cheung, Lao Huimin, Xiaopancai, etc. They all have their own strengths and flavors.

There are also Harry Lai on Jingyang Street, Halal Dumpling House on Liudao Street, etc.!

All in all, it was a worthwhile food trip!

Basically nothing special except for the saltiness, three spoons of MSG and two spoons of chicken essence

Personally, I think the smaller the Muslim restaurants, the more delicious they are, Lao Renyi, Da Hongmei, Qing Zeng, Fu Xin I think it’s just so-so. The newly opened Jinmai in Taipingqiao is purely about eating. I won’t talk about the dishes. Foodies are welcome to add more and let’s eat together
