Giant panda mother "Yaya" was 23 years old in 2013. She was born on the opening day of the Beijing Asian Games in 1990. She is the "sister" of the world's first successfully artificially bred giant panda twins.

After Yaya and her younger brother Xiangxiang were born, the management took advantage of the panda mother "Qingqing"'s good motherhood and ability to cooperate with the staff, and adopted a method that combined maternal care and infant incubation boxes so that the twins could take turns to eat.
