Open the Stroke panel, and there are three options on the right side of the Thickness item. The first three are endpoint options (not included in this question). The first one below is miter (sharp corner), the second one is fillet and the third one is bevel (the second corner in your picture), so you just need to click the first item to miter, as shown.
