Except for Zengcuo'an, the snacks in other places in Xiamen are truly local delicacies.
The snacks sold in Zengcuo'an are available all over the country, and they are expensive and unpalatable.
Therefore, if you want to eat local delicacies, go to Bashi, go to Zhongshan Road, go to Qianpu, and go to Tong'an. Only in these places can you find the authentic delicacies of Xiamen.
Xiamen’s famous local delicacies include ginger duck, bamboo shoot jelly, oyster omelette, sand tea noodles, five-spice, taro buns, duck porridge, etc.
If you want to eat authentic Xiamen Wuxiang, you have to go to Ajie Wuxiang in Bashi.
For 9 yuan per person, you can eat enough.
This five-spice is made of pork, and it is fried and fragrant. Almost every household in Xiamen can make five-spice.
Then there are the satay noodles. I don’t think the satay noodles have much flavor.
Except for the sand tea noodles in the scenic area, which are not authentic, the sand tea noodles in other roadside stalls are okay.
If you are really afraid of stepping on the wrong side, then go to Yuehuasha Tea Noodles on Zhongshan Road. The aunties make delicious noodles.
For ginger duck, I recommend Shiheli Ginger Duck and Haodelai Ginger Duck in Siming District. Both are small alley delicacies, and cost about 30 yuan per person.
Personally, I think it’s delicious ginger duck.
If you want to eat the most delicious ginger duck, you can only go to Tongan to eat dumb ginger duck.
Let’s put it this way, Tongan is the old Xiamen, so the food in Tongan is cheap and authentic.
If you go to Tongan, you can spend 100 yuan to eat in one day!
In the morning, I had a bowl of bell tower cake, which cost four yuan a portion.
I had my mother-in-law's chicken drumstick for lunch. A large drumstick cost seven yuan.
Finally, I recommend Linjia, a local specialty restaurant with a relatively high cost performance in Xiamen. You can taste almost all Xiamen delicacies you want, but the taste is definitely not as good as those of Fly Shop.
