The origin of the Immortal Bridge
In ancient times, the area where the Immortal Bridge was located was called the White Dragon Stream. The local people send sacrifices of boys, girls, cattle and sheep every year. If they are not careful, there will be strong winds in winter and heavy rains in summer, causing constant disasters and ruining lives. Local people go up the mountain to collect firewood. If they accidentally enter the Bailong Cave, they will become the delicacies of the six white dragons.
He Xiangu, who was practicing in Jinge Mountain, saw this and was angry in her heart. She decided to eliminate harm for the people regardless of her shallow practice. He Xiangu fought with six white dragons from the ground to the air, from the mountain to the bottom of the mountain, until the sky was dark and the earth was dark. After fighting for seventy-seven and forty-nine days throughout the year, the six dragons were defeated and fled into the deep water stream. He Xiangu took out the peach strips from her waist, fished out the six white dragons, and placed them in the white dragon stream for sacrifice. People go up the mountain to pass.
As time went by, the six white dragons turned into six stone floating frames between the two cliffs. In order to commemorate He Xiangu for eliminating harm to the people, people named it Xianren Bridge.
