How could the Spring Festival end in the blink of an eye! I would say, there is a holiday ahead. I didn't appreciate it. Originally I just wanted to play with my phone at home. If I have another chance, I would like to go to the ancient town of Shaanxi to watch the Lantern Festival. Ancient towns are places with red bricks and green tiles during the Spring Festival. I specially sorted out the ancient towns at the end of the year in Shaanxi to see what activities there are!

1. Qingmuchuan Ancient Town

Qingmuchuan Ancient Town is a small town in Ningqiang County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province. It is located at the junction of Shaanxi, Gansu and Sichuan provinces, adjacent to Qingchuan County of Sichuan Province to the west and Wudu County and Kang County of Gansu Province to the north. It is known as "three provinces with one foot".

For the Spring Festival, Qingmuchuan Ancient Town has prepared a series of Spring Festival activities.

Qingchuan New Year International Food Festival

Time: February 2nd - February 19th

Location: Qingchuan New Year Street

Qingchuan New Year Lantern Festival

Time: February 2nd - February 19th

Location: Jinxi Garden

Content: The light show combines traditional folk customs with Qiang elements, using exaggerated anthropomorphic modeling techniques and modern LED materials to highlight the local culture of Qingmuchuan. It is a lantern festival with Qiang cultural characteristics!

Famous and popular special performances

Time: February 6th - February 19th

Location: Aoki Sichuan-Xinjiang Old Street

Contents: Folk wedding display (wedding team carrying sedans, playing suona, crossing braziers, riding saddles, welcoming the bride), dragon and lion dances, old street melodrama performances, etc.

In addition, there are a number of exciting activities such as Nuo opera stunt performances, historical stage plays, New Year entertainment activities, Qiang Sharang party, etc.

2. Manchuan Ancient Town

Manchuan Ancient Town is located 74 kilometers southeast of Shanyang County, straddling Shaanxi and Hubei provinces. It is the first town in southeast Shaanxi. It is named after its vast landform and wide waters. Allusions such as "Qin and Jin in the north, Wu and Chu in the south" and "a long time ago" all originated from this.

From January 28th to February 19th, Manchuan Ancient Town is brightly lit and you can enter the resort. The lights are dim and the stars are bright.

On February 12, Manchuan Ancient Town will build an ancient town that never sleeps during the Spring Festival. Visitors can participate in temple fairs and other blessing activities by themselves, and celebrate the Spring Festival for themselves and their families while experiencing local folk customs.

From February 10th to February 19th, Manchuan Ancient Town held performances of Manchuan Major, Qin Opera, and Han Opera at Shuangxi Tower. On the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, the Lantern Festival Lantern Riddle Party is held, bringing a cultural and artistic feast.

From February 6th to February 9th, Manchuan Ancient Town’s special folk performances will be held. Throw hydrangeas, carry sedans, experience folk weddings; row boats, dance squares, and experience the cultural life of Manchuan people.

3. Chenlu Ancient Town

Enter Chenlu. The walls here are all "Kankan" walls made of ceramic walls. Winding up from the path, it unfolds before your eyes like an oil painting.

If you come to Chenlu, you can go to the pottery workshop and make various pottery by yourself to experience the fun of handcrafting.

Just visiting the ancient town of Lugu Lake will take you back to more than a thousand years ago and experience the state of mind of ancient ceramic artists.

In late February, the Chenlu Ancient Town Folk Square will hold a Spring Festival event to worship the kiln god. There will be Shehuo, Yangko, walking, land boating, gongs and drums and other exciting activities, as well as some must-try delicacies: sour soup Lehe, salty soup noodles, splash noodles, etc.

4. Zhuge Ancient Town

Zhuge Ancient Town truly restores Zhuge Liang’s life and deeds. A water street and a dry street symbolize the yin and yang in Bagua

5. Fenghuang Ancient Town

Fenghuang Ancient Town is simple and natural, without deliberate hand-carving. It has completely preserved its original appearance hundreds of years ago. The narrow streets, bluestone-paved roads, and old houses along the streets all seem to tell the history and glory of this place.

From February 16th to February 20th, Fenghuang Ancient Town will hold a Spring Festival social fire performance and organize folk performances such as lion dance, stilt walking, and Yangko.

6. Baoguo Ancient Town

Guobao Ancient Town is located on the bank of Bao River in Hanzhong, 15 kilometers away from the urban area, 40 minutes from Hanzhong Airport, and nearly ten days. Babao Expressway and 316 National Highway run through the whole town. The town is the only way from south to north.

January 26th - February 20th

A large-scale New Year Lantern Festival will be held in Guobao Ancient Town, and Zigong lanterns from the "No. 1 Lantern in the World" will illuminate the entire Hanzhong.

7. Flatiron Ancient Town

Pingdu Ancient Town is an ancient post town on the Sichuan-Chu Ancient Road. The ancient town was built on the lava of the karst landscape. Most of the existing ancient streets were built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, especially the stilted buildings that "give up more than three feet of ground to occupy the sky" are unique.

Go to Duquan Ancient Town in Shiquan, southern Shaanxi to celebrate the New Year and experience the traditional New Year custom of soup-making party that has been passed down for thousands of years.

Killing pigs during the New Year, offering sacrifices to the God of Bacchus, and playing shadow puppet shows.............

8. Dihua Ancient Town

Dihua Ancient Town is located in Danfeng County, Shangluo City, deep in the Qinling Mountains of Shaanxi Province. Since the Spring and Autumn Period, this place has been a post station on the Shang Yang Ancient Road connecting the north and the south. It is also the hometown of the writer Jia Pingwa.

Big red lanterns hang high in Digu Town, scattered on the branches and eaves. Against the blue sky, the bright Chinese red brings warmth to the winter. At night, it is covered in silver and brightly lit, adding a bit of charm to the ancient town.

Guhua Town holds the "Jinsong Street New Year Goods Street" event every year, which mainly includes activities such as visiting Jinsong Old Street, holding special New Year goods, watching folk customs, and tasting southern Shaanxi. Here, you can play Shehuo, sing opera, visit small towns, watch performances, and enjoy the New Year!
