1. luntai county-Minfeng County
This is a road built by an oil company to transport oil. The first and most famous highway in Taklimakan desert. There is only accommodation in the tower on the way, but the housing conditions are limited.
Starting point: 9 km east of luntai county, Bayinguoleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang (365438+626 km on National Highway 04) and 8 km east of Minfeng County, Hotan, Xinjiang (2/78 km on National Highway 3 15). It passes through Lunnan Oilfield, Tarim River, Xiaotang and Tazhong 4 Well.
The total length is 565.66 kilometers, of which 446 kilometers are mobile desert roads, starting from Xiaotang in the north and reaching Cha 'an in the east of Minfeng County in the south.

From Dooku Highway, drive 1 10 km and you can reach the wheel platform. Populus euphratica forest at the end of October is the most beautiful time. There are temporary parking spots on the road. Don't park your car on the side of the road or on the sand.
2. Alar City-Hotan City
The drive from Aksu to Hotan has been shortened by half. Starting from the red and white service area, cross the red and white area, and you will cross the oasis to the edge of the desert. Desert plants along the way, such as Populus euphratica, red willow and camel thorn. Always in front of your eyes.

Populus euphratica is the most beautiful scenery on the desert highway, but the Luntai scenic spot in autumn is crowded with people and mosquitoes. At this time, you can also take Desert Highway 2. There are also beautiful Populus euphratica along the Tarim River. There are large cotton fields and vines along the Kuqa-Shaya section, but it is desolate after passing through Shaya County. Passing through a reed swamp is the Taklimakan desert. This desert highway is enough for one day, and there is no need to rest on the way. In Hotan, there are jade and delicious food.
3. Alar City-Tazhong Town, Qiemo County
The scenery along the first half of the road is good, including Tarim River, Populus euphratica forest and sand barriers. The scenery in the second half is relatively simple. There is a post station behind the tower for drivers and guests to park along the way. There is only one gas station in the desert tower. It is recommended to drive a car with a large fuel tank on the way across the desert.

Starting point: 20 19, the whole line is open to traffic. The starting point is Alar City 14 regiment, which is connected with S2 10 provincial highway, and the ending point is connected with Tazhong 1 highway.
4. Yuli County-Qiemo County
Part of highway G07 1 1 Wuwei runs through the hinterland of Taklimakan desert. The drive to Korla was shortened from 12 hour to 6 hours. By May 2022, the road has been basically completed and is expected to open to traffic at the end of June this year.

Starting point: The project starts from Yuli County in the north, passes through Ganwei River, Tarim River, Populus euphratica and Luobu Village, and reaches Tatirang Township in Qiemo County in the south.
