Campus Library: The library of Hunan University traces back to the Imperial Book Building of Yuelu Academy, with a history of over a thousand years. There are three existing buildings, namely, the South Campus General Library, the Finance College Campus Branch Library and the Special Collection Branch Library. Located at the foot of Yuelu Mountain, the Royal Book Building of Yuelu Academy, the branch library and the main library of the special collection are distributed on the central axis of Hunan University from west to east, bearing the historical track of the development of China library, forming a strange landscape in which the ancient library, modern library and modern library echo each other from afar.

Hunan University Library has a total area of 3,497.91 square meters, more than 4,682 reading seats, and more than 2 reading rooms with different service functions. The weekly opening hours are 11.5 hours. The library has a document acquisition department, a resource processing department, a document lending department, a digital and graphic construction department, a document evaluation and subject service center, a reader service center, a sci-tech novelty retrieval and document retrieval center, a special collection branch, a finance college campus branch and a library office, which implements the business operation and administrative management of the whole library.

collection of literature resources: the collection of Hunan University Library consists of the South Campus General Library, the Finance College Campus Branch Library, the Special Collection Branch Library and the Professional Branch Library. All books and periodicals have been managed in a unified way, and cataloguing outsourcing has been realized through the construction of CALIS Demonstration Library. The collection resources have been fully integrated, and the integrated retrieval of paper books, periodicals and digital resources has been realized. The retrieval results have been embedded with e-reading and CCC, and the inter-campus loan, return, general reading and personalized automatic service system have been realized. The paper documents collected by the South University General Library are comprehensive books, while the branch libraries of Finance College Campus mainly focus on economics, and the professional branch libraries collect some documents closely related to their disciplines and specialties, mainly books, periodicals and reference books. The collection covers a wide range, the disciplines are complete and the carrier forms are diverse.
