Mengzi Xintiandi Commercial Street takes regional characteristics, culture and style of the times as the main line in architectural connotation, and time as the link in architectural form. According to the time and space sequence of ancient times, modern times and modern times, the architectural features of different periods are connected in series in the commercial street through the historical context of Mengzi, which embodies the diversity and compatibility of Mengzi's social culture and combines this historical feature with modern life in a new way.
According to the modern architectural style, the commercial street transits to the European style dominated by modern French architecture, and then the whole block is roughly divided into three sections, namely the first section, the middle section and the last section, which are composed of three groups of buildings with different styles: modern architecture, modern French architecture and local residential architecture. Among them, the 45-meter-high European Bell Tower leisure sightseeing tower has become a landmark landscape building in Mengzi Xintiandi. According to the use function, it is divided into boutique shopping street (reflecting modern culture), cultural entertainment and leisure square (reflecting western culture) and time-honored dining street (reflecting central plains culture and frontier national culture). In the meantime, sculptures reflecting modern life, dry spraying, people's sculptures reflecting the life of all ethnic groups in Honghe, memorial archways, stone tablets, stone wells and other sculptures reflecting the local historical features are interspersed. Combined with the collocation of lighting and greening, it is in harmony with the surrounding environment, highlighting the cultural connotation of the block, and allowing people to recall history, look forward to the future and fully experience the diversity of Mengzi, Honghe and even Yunnan while understanding the diversity, typicality, integrity and appreciation of commercial street buildings.
