Siming District is the economic, political, cultural and financial center of Xiamen, located in the south of Xiamen (including Gulangyu Island).

As of 216, Siming District has jurisdiction over 1 streets, namely: Xiagang Street, Zhonghua Street, Wucun Street, Binhai Street, Lujiang Street, Kaiyuan Street, _ _ _ Street, Lianqian Street, Jialian Street and Gulangyu Street, with 98 communities.

Huli District is the birthplace of Xiamen Special Economic Zone, the center of national information technology industrial base, the sixth largest container throughput in China, one of the top ten ports in China, and an important hub for Xiamen Island's external transportation.

jimei district: an important gateway to Xiamen Island in the west, geographically called Jimei Peninsula, is located in the geometric center of Xiamen and the center of Xiamen-Zhangquan Triangle.

Haicang District is located in the west of Xiamen, with Haicang Bridge connecting Huli District of Xiamen Island in the east, Xiamen Port facing Siming District in the southeast, Jiulong River Estuary connecting Longhai City of Zhangzhou with Xiazhang Bridge in the south, Longhai City of Zhangzhou in the southwest and west, Changtai County of Zhangzhou in the northwest, Guankou Town of jimei district in the north and Xinglin Street of jimei district across Maluan Bay in the northeast with Xinyang Bridge.

Tongan District, also known as Tongan County, is located in the southeast of Fujian Province, bordering Anxi and Nan 'an in the north, Nan 'an in the east, Changtai in the west, Xiamen suburb in the southwest, and Jinmen Island across the sea in the southeast. It is the core area of "South Fujian Golden Triangle".

Xiang' an district: located at the forefront of the economic zone on the west side of the Taiwan Strait, and at the core of the "Golden Triangle" of Xiamen, Zhangzhou and Quanzhou in southern Fujian, it is the east gate of Xiamen, bordering Anxi County in the north, Quanzhou City in the east and Jinmen Island in the south.

Development history of Xiamen:

Tongan County was established in the third year of the Western Jin Dynasty and Taikang (282), which belonged to Jin 'an County. It was soon abolished and merged into Nan 'an County, and it was not until more than 6 years later that the county was established again.

in the Tang dynasty, in the 19th year of Zhenyuan (83), Datong Field was set in the southwest of Nan 'an County. In the 2nd year of Tang Guangqi (886), Wang Chaoke's Quanzhou was the secretariat. By 947, the southern Tang Dynasty destroyed the state of Fujian, and Tongan was ruled by Wang Chao and the state of Fujian, which lasted for 61 years. Wang Chao and Wang Shenzhi brothers successively served as our envoys for the mighty army, with Tongan as their governing place. In the first year of Kaiping in Fujian (99), Wang Shenzhi was the king of Fujian, established Fujian as its capital, and Datong was its governing place. In the seventh year of Baoda University (949), Nantang promoted Quanzhou to Qingyuan Army (now Quanzhou, Putian, Xiamen and Zhangzhou).

in the first year of gande (963), the Qing yuan army was changed from Song Dynasty to Ping Navy, with Chen Hongjin as our envoy, and Tongan County belonged to Ping Navy. In the third year of the Northern Song Dynasty (978), Chen Hongjin accepted the land in the Song Dynasty, and Tongan County began to accept the land with the Ping Navy. In the same year, Song Fuping's navy was Quanzhou. Song belongs to Ping Navy and Quanzhou.

in the 27th year of Hongwu (1394), two thousand households in Yongningwei moved to Jiaheyu and built Xiamen City. Since then, Zhongzuosuo has been called Xiamen Island.
