Zhanjiang is in the southwest of Guangdong.

Zhanjiang, formerly known as "Guangzhou Bay" or "Port City", is located at the southern tip of mainland China, in the southwest of Guangdong Province, between 109° 31' and 110° 55' east longitude, and between 20° 12' and 21° 35' north latitude.

The area is 13225.44 square kilometers.

As of January 2021, Zhanjiang City has four municipal districts, two counties, and three county-level cities. The municipal government is located in Chikan District.

Main attractions 1. Sanlingshan National Forest Park is located at the southernmost tip of mainland China - three kilometers southwest of Zhanjiang City.

The total area is 10,875 acres, the forest area is 8,825 acres, and the green coverage rate is 98%.

It is the largest green protective barrier in Zhanjiang, known as the "lungs of the city" in Zhanjiang, the most popular destination (attraction) on road trips, and has been awarded the title of "Excellent Tourist Attraction".

2. Tianchengtai Tianchentai Resort AAA Scenic Area is located on the Beiquan Beach on the right side of the Wushi Port Gate in Leizhou, with a total area of ??more than 600 acres and more than 70 kilometers of coastal beaches.

The sand layer of the beach is deep, soft and medium-sized.

The resort faces the Beibu Gulf. The sea water is clear, the waves are calm, there are no undercurrents, and there are no sharks. The temperature difference of the sea water is very small throughout the year (between 20℃-29℃). It is a bathing beach suitable for swimming all year round.
