In the past I heard about Dujiangyan in Sichuan and Sichuan, but now I see Mulan Pi in Putian.
The separation of sand and water is sincerely valuable, and the separation of light and salty water is also boasted.
When the tide rises, the waves travel up the stream, but when the tide recedes, the alkaline salt is a source of sorrow for everyone.
It stores fresh water and rejects salt water for irrigation, and the seedlings grow on the tidal flats and birds and butterflies fly.
(New Rhyme) Notes: (1) Mulan River: the mother river of Putian, Fujian Province. Within the territory of Putian, it starts from the mountains in the west and flows into the sea in the east, with a total length of 105 kilometers.
Before Mulan Pi (bei) was built, Mulan Creek was overflowing. The seawater flowed up the creek due to high tides. When the tide receded, salt and alkali were everywhere. Only cattail grass grew in the southern and northern oceans on both sides of Mulan Creek, and no grass seedlings grew.
After Mulan Pi was built, the salt and fresh water were separated, with fresh water on one side and tidal flats on the other. The upper part was diverted for irrigation by stream floods, and the lower part was blocked by sea tide erosion, turning the sea into mulberry fields and "Putian" into "Putian".
(2) Brag: blow and beat (to exaggerate with great fanfare to show celebration and praise.) (3) Dam: barrage, that is, Mulan Pi.
The other two poems: (1) It is difficult for saline-alkali seedlings to grow, and the roaring waves turn white.
Fengpi scratches the waves, and the sea turns into mulberry fields.
(2) Change the land, change the creation of heaven and man, and show off the power of the dam by rejecting salty water and storing fresh water.
One servant after another will not waver in his determination, and only three buildings can form a Pipi.
