Tongmuguan seeks the tea source in the deep mountains.
After landing at Wuyishan airport in the morning and going through the car rental formalities, we bypassed the nearby Wuyishan main scenic spot and went to Tongmuguan in the border area between Jiangxi and Fujian.
Tongmuguan is one of the main cradles of black tea, from which both Zhengshan Race, which is well-known overseas, and Jin Junmei, which is highly sought after nowadays, come. Bypassing the big tea garden on the roadside, we drove to the depths of the mountain. Along the way, the flowing water of the mountain stream made a rushing sound, washing away the layers of white stones on the shore day and night. Along this winding stream, we sometimes meet clear pools and sometimes waterfalls. Slow down the car, put down the window, and the cold mountain wind blows head-on, which makes people feel refreshed.
Bumping along the narrow road in the deep valley, through a misty cloud, raindrops rustled on the windshield, and Tongmuguan Building stood in front of the road. Tongmuguan is one of the eight passes in Wuyishan. Under the lush green hills, bamboo forests and ancient trees can be seen everywhere, and monkeys are playing leisurely in the forest. The path paved with bluestone slabs is dotted with several wild flowers from time to time, which is elegant and simple, with a long artistic conception.
In order to protect the local ecological environment, Tongmuguan strictly controls the number of vehicles entering the ecological protection zone. The main plant here is vegetable tea, which is used to make Jinjunmei and Zhengshan races. Zhengshan race has the characteristics of "pine smoke fragrance and longan flavor", while Jin Junmei retains the fragrance of fresh tea without losing the moisturizing and thick soup.
Walking on a quiet mountain path, listening to the sound of running water in your ear, you will be greeted by bursts of flowers. Here, man and nature are in a harmonious state, and tea farmers have gained enough living needs in nature, so the days are calm day by day.

Returning from Tongmuguan to Sangu Resort in Wuyishan, it began to rain again, and the rice fields and forests on the roadside were looming in the rain and fog.
We boarded the bamboo raft from the pier of Wuyishan main scenic spot and went down the Jiuqu River. Each bamboo raft has two boatmen, while propping up the boat, while leisurely introducing us to the story between Danshan and Qingshui.
Jiuquxi seems gentle, but in fact it is an undercurrent. Whenever our bamboo raft is about to run aground or hit the rocks, experienced boatmen can always turn the tide and let us get through by luck. At this moment, Danya, Cangbi, blue sky and white clouds are reflected in the water, with distinct levels and myriad changes. When the cold stream flows gently at your fingertips, it feels really comfortable at that moment.
Swimming along the Jiuqu River, I found that in addition to the large-scale tea gardens opened in the mountains, there are many wild tea trees, or clusters or clusters, protruding from cracks or gullies in rocks. These tea trees are covered with moss, which is an excellent indicator of the ecological environment. If the air source is destroyed, it is rare.
A small piece of tea can be as quiet as a virgin or move around like a rabbit. After we landed from Jiuquxi, we found a teahouse and sat down to have tea. Accompanied by melodious ancient sounds, the tea artist boiled the spring water with fire. After the tea set is blanched, put the tea leaves into the teapot. This step is called "Oolong into the pot", and flushing with a long-billed pot is called "hanging pot and high flushing". When the tea leaves turn over in the teapot and the tea overflows slightly, the tea artist gently scrapes off the foam on it with the lid of the teapot, which is called "spring breeze wiping the face" ... Finally, when the tea soup is evenly poured into the cup, it is called "Guan Gong visiting the city". For Wuyi Rock Tea, making tea is artistic, especially tasting tea. The so-called "seeing two smells, three tastes and four aftertaste" means watching the color first, then smelling the fragrance, and then slowly tasting its taste, which can be called "product". This exquisite tea soup has rock rhyme and fragrance, and its aftertaste is not only sweet, but also elegant and quaint.

In Wuyishan, time is constantly changing between mountains and water. Most of the peaks in Wuyi Mountain are not high, but they are unique, and isolated peaks rise from the ground. From a distance, the wooden plank road on the mountain wall is still faintly visible.
From the Jiuqu River to the Dahongpao Scenic Area, we walked up the mountain along the green trail, and the surrounding scenery was pleasant. A lush tea garden is distributed in the mountains, and the green tea leaves are crystal clear. "There is no doubt in the mountains and rivers, and there is another village in the dark." After drilling through a crevice, it seems to be the place at the end of the road, and suddenly it becomes clear. I saw the huge long cliffs on both sides towering into the sky, and the dripping cliffs were covered with moss. Between the rugged peaks, three clusters of Dahongpao stand on the stone wall.
There are many kinds of Wuyi rock tea products. Huiyuan Rock in the north of the mountain alone is famous for more than 800 kinds, of which Dahongpao is the most famous. In Wuyishan, the naming of tea trees is very particular, including "dark" and "half-day waist" named after the growing environment of tea trees, "drunken begonia" and "a bunch of incense" named after trees, "melon seeds gold" and "golden wicker" named after leaves. ...
Along the green trail of Dahongpao Scenic Area, all kinds of ferns and vines and tall trees cover the sky. Many tea trees nearby still grow on rocks. The local tea farmers told me that tea trees like shade and are resistant to shade, so the best tea leaves are produced in the valley. In the dimly lit stone ravine, a large area of tea trees have sprouted new buds. Not far from the village, the tea farmers are beaming, greeting relatives and friends, packing tools and preparing for the busy picking season.
At dusk, we stopped at Pinglindu of Jiuqu River and watched the ancient and modern boat trip. The night before I left Wuyishan, when night fell, I could still sleep with the fragrance of tea.
