There are about 28 species of fish along the coast of Dalian, mainly including small yellow croaker, hairtail, cuttlefish, cobbler, six-line fish and so on. There are about 4 kinds of marine invertebrates, among which prawns, shrimps, jellyfish, conch, sea red, oysters and so on are of high economic value. All of the above are seafood that is a specialty of Dalian. In addition, we can't help but mention Liaoshen.
Liaoshen refers to Liaoning sea cucumber, which is the first of the traditional delicacies "Eight Treasures of the Sea" and the main ingredient of the famous "Buddha Jumping Wall". It can invigorate qi and nourish blood, consolidate the foundation and cultivate yuan. In 1972, President Nixon of the United States arrived in Beijing, and Premier Zhou Enlai hosted a state banquet and named Liaoshen. Generally speaking, the place of origin of Liaoshen refers to Tieshan, Beihai and Shuangdaowan, which are within the boundary between the Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea in Lushunkou, Dalian. There are many disputes among the people, and most scholars prefer Beihai Village, a frozen town thousands of miles away.
