1. Jiahua Centenary Marriage Certificate Exhibition Jiahua spent two years collecting more than 60 marriage certificates from all over the country from the Qing Dynasty, the Republic of China, the founding of the People's Republic of China to the Cultural Revolution period and modern times, each with its own style and exquisite packaging.

Each certificate contains the touching emotional experiences of a loving couple who have gone through the ups and downs of the world.

It also witnesses the progress of China’s marriage policy and social and economic formation.

After a hundred years of ups and downs, things have changed and people have changed. The only thing that can bear witness to this beautiful marriage was this marriage certificate.

(1) Introduction to special marriage books·The largest marriage book (Jiaqing period), the Yuanyang Ceremony Book is the ancient engagement certificate.

According to the etiquette, after the two parties confirm the marriage, they choose an auspicious day. The man prepares a mandarin duck gift book, with the man's birthday and birth date written on the right side of it. It is put into a red envelope, and a framed article requesting marriage is attached. A new pen and ink are prepared.

Put it together with the "first gift" into a red leather "book batch box".

When the girl's family receives the gift letter, the father or brother will use the new pen in the box to lick the ink, fill in the girl's birth date on the left side of the gift letter, and then write the four words "for good luck" on the cover of the gift letter, commonly known as "patch".

Book".

When the gift letter is returned to the man, it is considered a formal engagement.

This mandarin duck ritual book from the 19th year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (AD 1814) is the largest marriage book in China.

The man was a well-known local family, and his betrothal gift was very dignified, including clothing materials and silver gifts. He went to the Su family shop (the predecessor of Jiahua Jewelry), which was famous for its exquisite jewelry and jade at that time, to customize a huge amount of gold and silver jewelry.

The shopkeeper of the house congratulated her with a pair of exquisite "dragon and phoenix jade pendants" which symbolized a happy marriage, which made her daughter's heart very happy.

The newlyweds thus forged a centuries-old relationship with Jiahua Jewelry (Sujia Store).

·The most touching marriage certificate (Daoguang period) The marriage certificate from the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty is also called "Luan Shu" and "Eight-Character Poster".

Generally, gold-painted red paper is used, and the names of the groom and the bride, birth year, month, day and hour, place of origin, and names of the three generations of ancestors are written respectively in the order of men on the left and women on the right; the cover has the words "Heaven makes harmony on earth, Wen Ding Jue Xiang"

, "Luan and Phoenix sing in harmony, a perfect match" and other auspicious blessings.

The marriage book also listed family history such as "three generations of legacy, six dynasties of distinguished families" to show the innocence and uprightness of the family, and fully reflected the marriage custom at that time that emphasized well-matched families.

The paper of this marriage certificate has turned yellow, but it is still well preserved, but half of the word "forever" is missing. Originally, when the inscription "forever" was written together, the two marriage certificates were written together, and each one kept half when they were separated.

, and together they are complete.

This expressed the parties’ good expectations and sincere attitude towards a lasting marriage under the feudal marriage system at that time.

·The most beautiful marriage letter (Republic of China) On June 6, the 37th year of the Republic of China (1949), Chen Shizhuang and Hu Qinzhen were both from Guangdong. They met at a hometown gathering where they were studying in Shanghai.

It's a coincidence that the two of them hit it off immediately when they first met, just like Jia Baoyu's feeling when he met Lin Daiyu for the first time - Hu Qinzhen felt that "it was so strange, as if I had seen him there before"; Chen Shizhuang also felt that "this sister I have seen before"

. Looking at her face, she feels like an old acquaintance in her heart, and today is just a reunion after a long separation."

However, what really drew a red line for them were two jade pendants from Jiahua Jewelry - those jade pendants were manufactured and sold by Sujia Store (the predecessor of Jiahua Jewelry) during the Guangxu period.

At that time, during the 60th anniversary celebration of Empress Dowager Cixi, the "dragon and phoenix treasures" of Su's shop were selected as tributes, which made it famous.

To this end, Su's store specially produced a commemorative edition of "Dragon and Phoenix Jade Pendant" with only one hundred pieces for sale to the public.

When Chen Shizhuang and Hu Qinzhen accidentally discovered each other's dragon and phoenix jade pendants, they both believed that this was fate destined by God.

The jade pendant in the hands of the ancestors was born together in the Su family's shop. After wandering around, it was actually in their hands from Guangdong, thousands of miles away, to Shanghai where they met again. Perhaps this was a marriage that had been formed in the previous life.

·The most distinctive marriage certificate of the times (Cultural Revolution Period) The marriage certificate of the Nancheng District Revolutionary Committee of Taiyuan City during the "Cultural Revolution" on January 12, 1972 was very simple, but it had full characteristics of the times.

Except for a few paintings with Chairman Mao's face, all of them must have "Quotations from Chairman Mao".

The color of the entire marriage letter is simple, usually only red, yellow, and black, and the text is also very concise: "Voluntary marriage, after review, it complies with the provisions of the Marriage Law of the People's Republic of China and the People's Republic of China, and this certificate is issued." And the signatures are all "×

×Revolutionary Committee" seal.

The marriage between the hero and heroine of the marriage letter is introduced by the unit leader.

When they got married, they held Chairman Mao's quotations in their hands. On the night of the wedding, the leaders and comrades of the unit held a celebration party for them. The simple excitement made them very touching and unforgettable.

Although they got married without free love, they spent more than thirty years of marriage lovingly.

The fate of "organization and arrangement" left in their hearts a long-lasting and ever-new love story.
