1. Qiaoxi Historical and Cultural District Qiaoxi Historical and Cultural District starts from Gongchen Qiaotou and radiates to the west, facing the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal in the east and the Chinese Fan Museum in the north.
There are fewer and fewer old houses and old walls scattered deep in the alleys of Hangzhou. Although the weather-beaten faces are thickly smeared with makeup, they still reveal a lot of helplessness. Only those old streets still tell the story of Hangzhou’s old foundation.
story.
Standing on the streets of Qiaoxi, it felt like time was flowing backwards for a moment. I looked at the mottled walls, stepped on the thick bluestone slabs, touched the old wooden piles with some insect-eaten marks, smelled the aroma of food from the firewood stove, and watched the people passing by.
Freighters, canals never change.
2. Xiangji Temple Xiangji Temple, "The small hermitage is hidden in the mountains, the big hermitage is hidden in the city."
Most of the temples I have seen are in mountains and forests, but Xiangji Temple is an exception, located in the center of Hangzhou.
The Glazed Guanyin in the temple, my heart was shocked when I saw this Guanyin.
Such a huge bronze statue of Guanyin is not uncommon, but the glazed wall behind Guanyin has never been seen before. According to the Zen master, this is the only such large glazed Guanyin in China.
3. Xiaohezhi Street Historical and Cultural District Xiaohezhi Street Historical and Cultural District is located in the north of Hangzhou City, at the intersection of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, Xiaohe and Yuhangtang Rivers.
By the river, in the street, in life, this is the best interpretation of this place.
Walking through the white-walled and blue-tiled houses, you can see through the open doors or screen windows the residents playing mahjong or eating, or you may encounter old people sunbathing on the bluestone slabs. Not only are the buildings here well-preserved, but their daily lives are still the same.
Yes, most of them are the original residents living there.
4. Jiuxi Jiuxi. Compared with the first three scenic spots, Jiuxi is more famous. Of course, it is only a few. Most tourists still don’t know it.
Jiuxi, commonly known as "Jiuxi Eighteen Streams", is located in the mountains to the west of West Lake and adjacent to the Qiantang River.
Summer is the most comfortable season in Jiuxi. The vegetation here is lush and it is a summer resort. Jiuxi is the most beautiful time in autumn, with maple trees forming forests and colorful mountains and plains.
5. Prince Bay Prince Bay is located in the southwest corner of West Lake. It was originally just a bay. Legend has it that two princes, Zhuang Wen and Jing Xian of the Southern Song Dynasty, were buried here, hence the name.
As time went by, the mountains were affected by wind and rain, and the original small bay turned into a swamp due to sedimentation. It was later opened up as a field park and became a free attraction surrounding the West Lake.
