The next day: from Nanxiong to Guangdong-Jiangxi Expressway, it takes about 10 minutes to reach Jiangxi Dayu. From Dayu, take the Guangdong-Jiangxi Expressway back to Nanxiong, take the provincial highway to Shaoguan for 50 kilometers to Renhua, and you will see the sign of Danxia Mountain.

D 1: Guangzhou-Shaoguan Nanxiong Zhuji Gu Xiang

Driving from Guangzhou to Shaoguan, exploring Hakka cuisine in Shixing at noon, and going to Nanxiong to Gu Xiang, the most beautiful street in Guangdong, are the perfect combination of Lingnan culture and overseas Chinese culture. There are more than 20 ancestral temples with surnames on both sides of Gu Xiang. Ask your ancestors. In the evening, I stayed at a family hotel in Zhuji Lane, and the family enjoyed moon cakes and the moon in an antique environment.
D2: Zhuji Ancient Town-Jiangxi Dayu-Nanxiong-Renhua Danxia Mountain-Shaoguan City.

The next day, I boarded the Guangdong-Jiangxi Expressway and went to Dayu, Jiangxi. First, I went to the famous Peony Pavilion to experience the loyal love story of "Du Liniang" written by Tang Xianzu, and then I went to Renhua through Nanxiong. Enjoy the beautiful scenery in the world heritage Danxia Mountain in the afternoon.
Return to Shaoguan in the evening and go to the river to taste fresh and sweet seafood. After dinner, enjoy the beautiful night view and full moon along the Yangtze River in Shaoguan. You can stay in the bustling downtown area near Fengdu Square in Wujiang District, and recommend Cai Feng Road, a Nuoting hotel chain with convenient transportation.
D3: Shaoguan-Nanhua Temple-Guangzhou

From the Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway in Shaoguan City to Guangzhou, you can see the signpost of Nanhua Temple in about 10 minutes, get off the expressway and follow the signpost to Nanhua Temple. On the Mid-Autumn Festival, the whole family entered the "Millennium Temple" to pray for their families. The back hill of Nanhua Temple is full of lush hundred-year-old trees, and there is Jiulong Spring flowing all year round. Take a sip of clear spring water, wash the dust off your face and listen to the gurgling spring water. Eat at a nearby restaurant at noon, then take the Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway and return to Guangzhou in about 3 hours.
Heyuan and Yongding in Fujian
"Respect the moon", admire the earth building and soak in hot springs.
D 1: Guangzhou-Heyuan Sujiawei

From Guangzhou, take Guanghui Expressway, cross Xiaojinkou, turn right at Yihe exit of Huihe Expressway and Helong Expressway, you can go to Yihe Town, and then walk 3 kilometers to Sujiawei. The whole journey takes about 3 hours.
From Guangzhou to Sujiawei, where Su Dongpo's descendants live in Heyuan, there are 18 Hakka houses in Sujiawei, and the architectural style reflects the characteristics of Hakka enclosed houses. Hakka people attach great importance to Mid-Autumn Festival. Every time they get together in the yard, they will taste moon cakes, peanuts and grapefruit in the moonlight and "respect the moon". During the Mid-Autumn Festival, when you come to Sujiawei, you can taste Hakka dishes and listen to Hakka folk songs improvised by Hakka people in some courtyards with farm dishes in the village. It is recommended to stay in a hotel opened by local farmers in Sujiawei at night.
D2: Heyuan-Yongding Chuxi
Highlight: Visit the ancient village of Chuxi and soak in hot springs.
Starting from Meizhou, it is about 350 kilometers from Heyuan to Meizhou, and it takes 5-6 hours to reach Chuxi Village, Xiayang Town, Yongding.
It's already afternoon after arrival. I suggest going to Chuxi. It is an original ecological ancient village like a paradise, with ancient stone street, earth building and three-circle architectural style.
It is recommended to stay in Xiayang Town at night, such as Kedu International Hot Spring Resort and Yolanda Hot Spring Resort, where you can enjoy the moon and soak in the rare hot springs in western Fujian. You can taste dinner in town. Remember to try the local xia yang beef balls and Hakka rice wine.
D3: Nanxi Tulou-Return trip
Highlights: Yongding rewards "Tulou Great Wall"
It takes about half an hour to drive to Nanxi in the direction of Hukeng in Yongding City, and return from Nanxi Road via Meizhou.
After soaking in hot springs to recharge my batteries, I went to Nanxi Tulou Group in Yongding Hukeng Town on the last day. There are hundreds of earth buildings of different sizes and shapes, which meander for more than ten kilometers. They are called the "Great Wall of Earth Buildings" and are quite spectacular. After lunch, I have to go back to Guangzhou for 9 hours (special note: this trip is a bit hard. If you can take an extra day off, you can upgrade to a 4-day self-driving route, and it is best to spend the night in Meizhou for your return trip.
Yingde and Liannan

D 1: Guangzhou-Yingde Tianmen Valley-Kyushu Post Station
Highlight: Look at Feilaixia Dam and the spring water soaked in trees.
From Guangzhou, take Guangqing Expressway, get off at Yinzhan Exit, take Yin Ying Highway to Yingde, take Yin Ying Highway, turn to Yingyun Highway to Zoumaping via Feilaixia, then reach Tianmen Valley in Yingde via Shigutang Town, and follow the signs to enter Kyushu Station Scenic Area. The whole journey takes about 3 hours.
On the way to Tianmen Valley in Yingde, you will pass Feilaixia Water Control Project Scenic Area, where you can see a three-kilometer dam. If you are interested, you can take a ferry to enjoy the three Gorges of Mianyang, Blind Children and Incense Burner in the reservoir area. You can have a rest after arriving at Kyushu station, where the tree houses are more distinctive. In the evening, you can taste farm food, and then feel the hot spring and rainbow fog bath in the tree to relax.
D2: Yingde-Liannan
Highlight: Watch Yao Song and Dance.
Return to Guangqing Expressway, turn to Qinglian Expressway and go straight to Liannan. After getting off the expressway, look at the road signs and go to Liannan Wang Pan Cultural Park, which takes about 20 minutes.
The next morning, I visited Tianmen Valley and Hundred Birds Hall Resort. After lunch, continue to Liannan, arrive at Wang Pan Cultural Park, attend Yaoshan bonfire party, enjoy Liannan Yao customs banquet, watch the song and dance performances of Yao Agui and Sha Yaomei, and the whole family will participate in duets, play games and interact with the Yao people. It is recommended to stay in Lianzhou and recommend the West Hotel. Located in the bustling area near Panyu Road, it was renovated more than a year ago. European-style rooms have large space and new facilities.
D3: Guangzhou Lianzhou Underground River

From the hotel to Hunan, drive along the provincial road S 1 14 for about half an hour to Lianzhou Underground River, and there are signs along the way. It takes 3 hours to return to Guangzhou from Lianzhou West Exit and take Qinglian Expressway and Guangqing Expressway.
You can sleep late on this day, and after getting up, you can go to Lianzhou Underground River, a famous scenic spot in Lianzhou. Lianzhou underground river is a huge cave, which can be visited by boat to save leg strength. After coming out, enjoy lunch in the farmhouse restaurant near the underground river, take a break and drive back to Guangzhou.
