1. The most famous things in Gui "Gui" Street are basically three things: gluttonous frogs, sheep scorpions, and crayfish.
There are many places to eat crayfish, including Shanghai, Changsha, and Guangzhou. Apart from Chengdu, the only other places to eat crayfish are Beijing.
It was only now that Sheep Scorpion figured out what it was. It turned out to be the spine of a sheep. It could be made into hot pot and eaten with other dishes.
If you are not looking for these three kinds of food, I suggest you go to a restaurant in a courtyard in the middle of the street (although I have been there twice, I still can’t remember the name). Even though the door is small, it will be a big deal once you enter.
There are at least dozens of seats. You can sit in the scattered seats in the courtyard and see the bright starry sky; you can sit in the wing rooms that are not luxurious but are quite nostalgic.
There are a lot of delicious dishes, but the price is a bit more expensive than other food stalls, about 70 to 100 per person, but I think it’s pretty good because there are a lot of dishes to try.
The performances are in the courtyard, including Peking Opera from Beijing, face-changing and tea-pouring acrobatics from Sichuan, ramen acrobatics from Lanzhou, etc. They are quite exciting.
There is a subway till.
I forgot which stop, you can check it online. 2. If you haven’t been to Wangfujing’s snack street, I suggest you go and see the excitement. There is a freshly built stage to sing Peking Opera. It’s a bit interesting to eat and watch.
But the disadvantage is that the price is ridiculously expensive and the taste is very bad. It can only be regarded as a place to join in the fun.
If you really want to enjoy delicious food, you don’t have to go there. 3. Dashilan Snack Street has a lot of Beijing snacks at affordable prices. If you are looking for a dining environment, it is not recommended.
4. Houhai’s Lotus Street and the rows of specialty restaurants are all quite good and have a good dining environment.
The price is medium, and the per capita consumption is 70~150. In addition, there is a place called Jiumen Snacks in Houhai, which is quite unique. It is said to be the place where the Yellow Emperor ate.
There are many snacks from Beijing and other places, with many varieties and quite lively.
But the taste is very average, and the price is not cheap or affordable.
The per capita consumption is about 50 yuan.
I am not from Beijing, I have just been to these places and can give you some suggestions. I hope they will be useful.
