Tickets for Chongwu Ancient City Scenic Spot are 45 yuan for adults, 23 yuan for children, and half price for students with their student ID. There is no admission fee at night and you can enter the scenic spot for free.

Chongwu Ancient City is located on the southeast coast of Hui'an County, Quanzhou City, on the edge of the Taiwan Strait. It was built by Zhou Dexing, Marquis of Jiangxia in the 20th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1387), to resist Japanese pirates when he was conducting coastal defense operations. In the first year of Longqing (1567), famous anti-Japanese generals Qi Jiguang and Yu Dayou regarded their master Chongwu, and the stone inscription "Weizhen Haibang" at the North City Gate was passed down as written by Qi. In the eighth year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1651), Zheng Chenggong stationed here to fight against the Qing Dynasty. It is said that there is a "horseshoe stone" left behind. In 1988, it was listed as the third batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council. Inside and outside the ancient city, there are more than 20 ancient architectural remains such as palaces, temples, and temples that were built in the Song, Ming, and Qing dynasties and were repaired and continued to this day. Together with the ancient city, they form a group of historic sites that can be visited to reflect the ancient times. In particular, "Dragon's Throat Dawn", one of the "Eight Scenic Spots" of Da'an Mountain 3 kilometers outside the city, has the reputation of being the first scenic spot in Hui'an.

There are four gates in the city. The east, west and north gates are similar, each with two gates, plus a moon city and a building above. There is a beacon tower and a beacon tower on each city gate, and a wall is built outside the south gate. Legend has it that when Japanese pirates bombarded the city, Guan Yunchang of the Guandi Temple in the city swung his Qinglong Yanyue Sword, causing the shells to fall beside the city wall. He waved again, and the shells were shot back to the pirate ship, causing the ship to sink and kill the pirates. I think this is the reason why Guandi Temple is so popular. The two gates of the west gate are still intact today. There are several small stalls under the shady city gate. The stall owners are holding hands with each other, waving homemade dusters to catch flies and mosquitoes. New branches and wild flowers leave the shadow of spring on the city gate wall, and the fibrous roots of the old ancient banyan tree hang down, silently feeling everything about the ancient city. Go east through the west gate, then north, and finally to the south gate. The four city gates are connected by the cross street in the city. The sun casts a long shadow on the stone road of the old street. There are more than 30 temples and nunneries built in the Song, Ming and Qing dynasties in the small city. These ancient buildings add to the vicissitudes of the ancient city. For Chongwu, stones are the soul of the town. The ancient granite city wall with a circumference of 2,567 meters carries the history of the small town, witnesses the past of the small town, and retains the historical memory until today.

Visitors can first take a bus to Quanzhou Passenger Transport Center Station or Hui'an Station, where there is a direct bus to Chongwu. When purchasing tickets, you can choose the bus that takes the coastal channel (you can see the sea view along the way). The ticket price is 12 yuan and it takes about an hour to get there. You can also take a flight to Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport or Jinjiang Airport. After arriving in Xiamen, you can take a taxi to Songbai Long-distance Bus Station, which costs about 30 yuan. Then take the shuttle bus from Xiamen to Chongwu, which costs 40 yuan and takes about 2 hours. 20 minutes. After arriving at Chongwu Station, continue walking for about 1 kilometer in the forward direction and you will see the archway that reads "Chongwu Ancient City".

If you are driving on the Nanhui Branch of Quansan Expressway, get off the expressway at the Hui'an South Interchange and drive along National Highway 324 toward Hui'an to the intersection with Huichong Highway (County Highway 308) , turn right (turn east) and go along Huichong Highway for about 23 kilometers to reach the scenic spot; if you take the Fu-Xiamen Expressway, get off at the Huangtang Interchange and go along Huichong Highway for about 32 kilometers to reach the scenic spot. When traveling by car from Quanzhou City, you can also pass through the Houzhu Bridge from the East China Sea and follow the coastal channel (Provincial Highway 201) to reach the scenic spot.
