Historical Evolution of Sun Palace in Jinxiu Mountain
Jinxiu Mountain Sun Palace (namely Jinxiu Mountain Memorial Palace (Korean:? ), located in the northeast suburb of Pyongyang, the capital of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Jinxiu Mountain Memorial Palace, formerly known as Jinxiu Mountain Parliament Hall, is the place where President Kim Il Sung worked before his death, namely Kim Il Sung Mausoleum, which is a huge mausoleum located in the northeast suburb of Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea. Originally known as Jinxiu Mountain Assembly Hall, this palace was the office of Kim Il Sung, the founding president of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.

After Kim Il Sung's death in 1994, his son Kim Jong Il announced that his father's body would be permanently preserved in the Great Hall, which was renamed the Jinxiu Mountain Memorial Palace.

In 20 15, the white marble statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in the Sun Palace in Jinxiu Mountain were replaced by wax figures.

The Palace is located in the northeast suburb of Pyongyang. The main idea tower and Kim Il Sung Square are important tourist attractions and memorial places in North Korea. The nearest subway station is Guangming Station of Pyongyang Metro Innovation Line, but since the death of Kim Il Sung, this station has been out of service indefinitely. Now, visitors can get off at Samsung Station of Pyongyang Metro Innovation Line and change to the tram line.
