Extended data
In order to re-establish a professional football team in Paris, the Paris Football Club was established in August 1969. The club's goal is to participate in the Ligue 1 competition with a score of 1970. The attempt to merge with Arden, a CS sedan, was rejected. After that, Paris Football Club looked for a merger object in France B, and finally merged with Saint-Germain Stadium to become Paris Saint-Germain.
Paris Football Club existed because it split from Paris Saint-Germain in 1972 under the pressure of the mayor, because the mayor of Paris was unwilling to support a non-Paris football team (Paris Saint-Germain was originally located in Saint-Germain-en-Le).
As a result, Paris Football Club and Paris Saint-Germain were separated. Paris Football Club stayed in Ligue 1 as a professional club, with all professional players, while Paris Saint-Germain was relegated to Ligue 1 C as an amateur club, with all amateur players.
