As of December 31, 2018, Chengdu has eleven districts under its jurisdiction: Qingyang District (formerly Xicheng District), Jinjiang District (formerly Dongcheng District), Jinniu District, Wuhou District, Chenghua District, Longquanyi District, Qingbaijiang District, and Xindu District
, Wenjiang District, Shuangliu District, and Pidu District.
Among them, Qingyang, Jinjiang, Jinniu, Chenghua and Wuhou are urban areas.
The most prosperous districts should be Qingyang and Jinjiang, because the city center is in these two districts.
