Xi 'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) was officially approved by the Ministry of Education of China, and was founded in Suzhou by Xi 'an Jiaotong University and the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom. It is a new international university with independent legal entity and distinctive features. It is the first Sino-foreign cooperative university in China with strong cooperation, starting with science, engineering and management, and enrolling students in this batch.
Xi 'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University enrolls undergraduates and postgraduates at home and abroad, and accepts exchange students from foreign universities, with more than 8, registered students and more than 3 overseas students from more than 3 countries and regions around the world. Xi 'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University offers 26 majors, including science, engineering, management and literature, all of which are taught in English except basic courses.
