China is a country with a rich and diverse food culture. Each region has its own unique local cuisine, but there are also some of these foods that I cannot accept. In this article, I will discuss some very famous local specialties in China and why I can’t get enough of them:
1. Maoxuewang
Maoxuewang is a dish from Chengdu, Sichuan A very famous hot pot dish, its main ingredients include duck intestines, duck blood, beef, tofu skin, etc. However, the main reason I couldn't get over this delicacy was the duck blood in it. The texture of duck blood is moist and the taste is completely different from other meats. I am disgusted by its taste
2. Stinky tofu
Stinky tofu is a kind of fermented tofu with a unique smell. Taste and texture. Even though it's a very popular delicacy in some areas, I still can't get over its stench. Whether indoors or outdoors, as long as someone eats stinky tofu, its smell will spread and affect those around them.
3. Braised trotters
Braised trotters is a Hunan specialty. The main raw materials are pork trotters and sauce. The texture of this dish is very special and has a certain chewiness, but what I can't accept is its taste. It is too salty and tastes very heavy.
4. Chongqing Noodles
Chongqing Noodles are a special snack famous for their spicy taste. Its main ingredients are noodles and chili oil. What I couldn't stand was that it was so spicy that it made my mouth numb.
In short, China’s food culture is very rich and diverse. Each type of food has its own unique characteristics and flavors, but there are also some food that does not suit everyone’s taste. The delicacies listed above are personally unacceptable to me.
