80 1 years ago, in the Song Dynasty, Wang, who was in charge of the prison and government in Guangxi at that time, held a farewell banquet for Guilin candidates who went to Beijing to take the exam, and put forward the theory that "Guilin's landscape is the best in the world" for the first time. 1983, when the cultural relics workers in Guilin were cleaning up the stone carvings of Duxiufeng, they accidentally found the words "Guilin's landscape is the best in the world" engraved here.
Due to the development of tourism in Song Dynasty, many people left praise similar to that of Wang. For example, Zhang Xun's "Guilin landscape is the best in the world", Deng Gong's "Guilin landscape is the best in the world" and Zhang Xiaoxiang's "Guilin landscape is the best in the world", and so on. Zengbo Li wrote "Guilin landscape is the best in the world" in Rebuilding Xiangxi Building at the end of the Southern Song Dynasty, which is very similar to Wang's formulation.
In addition, according to the current research, the earliest article praising Guilin's landscape in history came from Yan Yanzhi, a great scholar in the Southern and Northern Dynasties. In the early years of Yuanjia in Song Wendi (A.D. 424), he visited the Duxiu Peak in Guilin and wrote a poem "Stand out from the crowd".
