The focal length is suitable for blurring, but the nearest focal distance of 50 heads is generally only about 0.4 meters, and only the whole bowl of vegetables can be photographed. It's a little difficult to take some close-ups if it's closer than the focus range. The easiest way is to cut it a little later or add a close-up shot. Personally, I think it's best to have a standard zoom for shooting.
