On March 28, 2013, the original 23 towns were adjusted to 21 towns (Wucheng Town, Dougou Town, Fudu Town, Baimao Town, Nicha Town, Yaogou Town, Liudu Town, Xiang'an Town, Shilitun
Township, Quantang Town, Shushan Town, Hongxiang Township, Niubu Town, Kunshan Township, Hemao Township, Kaicheng Town, Hedian Town, Yanqiao Town, Hongmiao Town, Shijian Town).
Erba Town and Tanggou Town were merged into Jiujiang District of Wuhu City.
Tanggou Town and Erba Town are under the jurisdiction of Jiujiang District, Wuhu City.
On April 1, 2014, with the consent of the Anhui Provincial Government, the Provincial Department of Civil Affairs approved the partial administrative division adjustment between Jiujiang District and Wuwei County in Wuhu City, placing Baimao Town in Wuwei County under the jurisdiction of Jiujiang District.
