Suzhou’s gardens and food

Humble Administrator’s Garden: one of the four famous gardens in China. The largest private garden and the mother of Jiangnan gardens. Very representative and worth a visit.

Lion Grove: Very close to the Humble Administrator’s Garden, about a five-minute walk. Win with rockery.

Suzhou Museum: Mr. I.M. Pei’s “Little Daughter”—the final work. free. It's not open on Mondays. It is connected to Prince Zhong's Mansion, has its own characteristics and feels very good.

The above three attractions are next to each other and can be played together. If you are not in a hurry, it will take about a day.

Sequence: Suzhou Museum (including Prince Zhong’s Mansion) – Humble Administrator’s Garden – Lion Grove. You can also stop by Xia Pingjiang Road, not far from the Lion Grove. This very interesting ancient street is one of the two oldest roads in Suzhou, the other is Shantang Street. You can have dinner on Pingjiang Road.

The road to the west of the museum is Linton Street. There are many express hotels on the street, such as Home Inn, Seven Days, etc. There is also a Mingtang Youth Hostel on Pingjiang Road that looks good.

It is strongly recommended to buy a tourist map before arriving in Suzhou! This makes finding the way very convenient.

I wish you a happy journey!
