Zhen Wenda talks about cooking skills:
Every traditional Chinese chef is "a daughter-in-law who has been a mother-in-law for many years." It takes many years of hard work before she can graduate. I remember that the master was always very strict and could not do any dirty work he ordered. On the other hand, one must be more discerning, sneak peeks and learn secretly according to circumstances. Don't look at me now, I can chop a carrot neatly in just a few seconds, and cook all kinds of meat and vegetables that I am obsessed with. It's all based on the basic skills I learned through gritted teeth at that time. It was only then that I realized the master’s painstaking efforts. Without the strictness of the master at that time, there would be no "Zhen Neng Cooking" today.
