The seeds of coconut are located near the base of the coconut. There are three germination holes, and there is one seed, which is close to the white endosperm (coconut meat).
The peel of coconut is divided into three layers. The outer layer is thin and smooth, dense in texture and has good water resistance; the middle layer is thick and loose, full of air, light and floating on water; the inner layer is a hard core with a white layer inside.
The coconut meat and sweet coconut juice provide sufficient nutrients for the growth and development of the seeds, and inside are the seeds of the coconut tree.
The seeds of coconut are in the hard lignified endocarp, containing the embryo (opposite to one of the easily penetrated holes on the endocarp) and endosperm. The pulp is the solid endosperm, and the coconut juice is the liquid endosperm.
