Rongcheng is one of the nicknames of Fuzhou. Before the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Fuzhou was called Yecheng. Zhang Boyu, the prefect of Fuzhou in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, called on Fuzhou citizens to plant banyan trees everywhere. Since then, there has been a landscape of "unobstructed summer and shady trees" on the streets of Fuzhou, and Fuzhou has also been nicknamed "Rongcheng". In addition, Fuzhou has other nicknames such as "Fujian Capital", "Sanshan" and "Zuohai".
