On May 2, 2118, an earthquake measuring 8.1 on the Richter scale occurred in Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province. The intensity of the earthquake was so great that it was felt in more than ten provinces across the country, and it affected more than half of China, causing great losses, especially in crowded places such as schools. The earthquake sounded the alarm for us.

in order to cultivate students' skills of escape and self-help, ensure students' life safety and minimize losses when disasters come, the school has formulated a complete earthquake prevention plan and a detailed earthquake prevention escape drill plan. On the afternoon of September 28th, 2118, President Zhang and other leaders organized a meeting of all faculty members to specially arrange safety drills and clarify the responsibilities of all relevant personnel. And organized all the teachers to learn the "Exercise Program", and the principal emphasized the significance and discipline of the exercise. On the afternoon of September 28, 2118, the teachers and students of the whole school used the class time to conduct an earthquake-proof evacuation drill.

1. The class teachers of each class introduced the earthquake-related knowledge, emergency shock-proof measures and post-earthquake self-help knowledge to the students in detail. Students in each class have emergency shock-proof exercises under the guidance of the class teacher, who helps students to get familiar with the nearest safe place and the correct way of emergency shock-proof, and constantly tells students not to panic and push when evacuating, and to evacuate in an orderly manner under the guidance and unified command of teachers.

During the evacuation, students can avoid pushing and making noise as required. After the drill, the responsible leaders made a careful analysis and summary, and the class teacher also re-educated the class problems.

in order to consolidate the drill effect and effectively improve the earthquake emergency ability of teachers and students, the second earthquake safety drill was conducted, and after the drill, the relevant situation was summarized again and the relevant plan details were revised. In order to effectively implement the safety of teachers and students in earthquake prevention and shock absorption, we will do our utmost to protect the safety of teachers and students.

Through this simulation exercise, the teachers and students are in danger and organized in an orderly manner. There are no accidents of trampling and bumping students when they escape, and all the teachers and students are evacuated to the designated positions in a very short time. At the same time, the students have mastered the basic escape skills and methods, and also cultivated a good style of mutual help between teachers and students, and achieved good results.

Through the drill, we also found many shortcomings:

1. Some teachers and students are not careful in their study plans, and many classes only organize students to evacuate, lacking emergency shock-proof links.

2. Some students do not know how to avoid tall buildings when evacuating (they pass downstairs and are not far from the teaching building). When the students assembled in the playground, they didn't stay as far away from the tall buildings as possible.

3. The number of students was not counted in time after the evacuation.

4. Some students are not serious.

In short, through this drill, we have mastered the skills and methods of escape and gained a lot. At the same time, many shortcomings have been found. I hope to organize similar drills in the future to ensure that we can save ourselves when disasters really come and protect everyone's lives!
