I went to Changchun, Jilin this time, stayed for six days and five nights, and ate eight restaurants (excluding breakfast). Three of them left the deepest impression on me, and the locals spoke highly of them. Let me introduce them one by one.
1. New Year's Day Store 1928
Recommended index: five stars, address: 400 meters south of the intersection of Southeast Nanhu Road and Dongling South Street in Changchun (west of Hongcheng International), dishes: Northeast cuisine, environment: Republic of China style.
I have been to Changchun twice, and both times I went to this restaurant for dinner. Both of them were brought by local people. It is said that when it first opened, it caused a sensation in Changchun, and there were often long queues at the door. When I first entered the restaurant, I felt I was back in the Republic of China. Posters, signs and objects on the wall are nostalgic items in the style of the Republic of China.
I ordered signature dishes: brine tofu (you can see the process of making tofu in the tofu shop of the restaurant), snow-wrapped bean paste (actually made of eggs), pork-killing dish, stewed pork ribs with beans, braised pork, fat fish, blood sausage, leek box and so on. They all taste good, which is very suitable for Cantonese tastes.
If you want to find a delicious and authentic northeast restaurant, we recommend New Year's Day 1928, with a per capita price of 80- 120 yuan.
Second, Dingyuan Power Hanging Furnace Roasted Pigeon Theme Restaurant
Recommended index: five stars, address: intersection of He Lin Street and South Third Ring Road (near Zhonghai Experimental Primary School), dishes: barbecue.
This is also a shop recommended by local foodies in Changchun. It is said to be an old-fashioned barbecue shop which is particularly popular in Changchun. There are several branches, and He Lin Street Store is more fashionable in decoration and has a large area. There are many guests, so it is necessary to make a reservation in advance.
Dingyuan Electric Power's signboard is hanging furnace to burn pigeons. In the words of Changchun friends, it is to burn pigeons in Changchun and carry the handle! It's really delicious, crisp and tender. Chicken feet (also called chicken hands) in this shop also sell well. They are all baked raw, so it takes a long time. We ordered chicken feet from the beginning and ate them for almost 40 minutes. There is also beef and mutton, which is delicious and worth recommending.
It is said that two things Changchun must do are bathing and barbecue. If you want to try barbecue in a more authentic environment, you can try Dingyuan Power, which is about 90 yuan per capita.
Third, Hanzhuang flagship store
Recommended index: five stars, address: Jilin Road, Erdao District, Changchun City, dishes: Korean cuisine, environment: Korean style.
Han Zhuang flagship store is said to be a famous Korean dish in Changchun. Some waiters come from Korea and can speak Chinese. The outside compartment is decorated in Korean style, and they sit on the floor. I especially recommend ginseng chicken soup, which is really made of ginseng. It is golden in color, fragrant and delicious. The rice sausage (rice wine) in this shop is also delicious. It tastes sweet, a bit like Gowasu in Xinjiang.
Besides, I like the taste of slate tofu and cake. If you want to eat authentic Korean food in Changchun, you can try the flagship store in Han Zhuang.
In addition, I have eaten in Chachong Restaurant, Shenlufeng Restaurant, Tiandingshan Restaurant and Guo Xin Nanshan Restaurant. They all taste good, but they are either out of town or not as distinctive as the above three. These three restaurants cover three different styles of Jilin cuisine: Northeast Cuisine, Barbecue and Korean Cuisine, all of which are recommended by local people, and I personally like them very much.
Of course, radish and cabbage have their own tastes. I wonder if you have any good food shops to recommend Changchun Restaurant?
