breakfast
A day's plan lies in the morning, and it is also true for an ocean-going crew. Every day he wakes up from a cargo ship at sea and whispers in his heart. A day away from home is less dangerous.
For breakfast, the crew eat simple food, usually bread, eggs and milk.
At every port, ocean-going ships will call for supplies, of which food is the most important. Although ocean-going ships also have refrigerators and freezers, they are not big enough to hold much food.
Sometimes there is not enough bread and eggs on board, so the crew can only find ways to solve the breakfast problem by themselves, such as making their own bread. Anyway, it's boring to stay on the boat all day, so many people will cook by themselves, and the condiments are limited, so everyone can make do with it.
I often drink milk juice for breakfast. In order to supplement vitamins, the crew often drinks all kinds of juice and milk, in order to make everyone eat healthier and more reasonable.
The captain will also arrange meals as planned. For example, from Monday to Sunday, breakfast is different every day. The first day is bread eggs, the second day may be noodles eggs, and the third day may be steamed bread eggs.
Everyone just makes do with breakfast.
lunch
At lunch time, the staple food is usually rice or steamed bread with noodles. Rice and flour are easier to store on the ship and will be stored in large quantities in one day.
Lunch dishes, also relatively simple, are generally some home-cooked dishes, such as potato stew, Chili fried meat, Chinese cabbage, cabbage soup, two dates per person.
Fruits and vegetables are very rare foods on board, which can supplement vitamins for the crew and prevent various diseases such as scurvy. Oranges are sometimes green dates, and more often there is no fruit to eat.
Sometimes I have to sail in the deserted sea for a month or two. At this time, the ship can't dock for supplies, and everyone can eat whatever they have. Seafood is the most common food.
At lunch time, everyone basically has strict requirements about the food they eat. For example, you can only bring an orange and a chicken leg, but some foods, such as seafood and fish, are available in unlimited quantities.
However, because everyone is tired of eating seafood, nobody wants to eat it. Everyone wants to eat some home-cooked food.
dinner
There is no time limit for dinner on ocean-going ships. Sometimes it is dark, sometimes it is midnight, mainly depending on the weather. When the weather is fine, everyone will have breakfast. When the weather is bad, they need to take care of their work and check all kinds of equipment and articles before they can eat safely.
Dinner is more abundant. Sometimes they arrange to eat jiaozi.
Eating jiaozi on ocean-going ships is a rare food, which can only be eaten once a month or two, usually on holidays or weekends.
Before eating jiaozi, we usually put up a notice at noon, telling everyone to finish early today and pack jiaozi together at night.
Materials are limited. Jiaozi is mostly made of shrimp, meat and fish, and pork and beef are rarely eaten. Eating jiaozi is a festive event, and everyone is very happy.
In addition to organizing people to eat jiaozi for dinner, there are usually various foods such as beef and chicken legs. Although it seems that there are many kinds, due to the limited resources on ocean-going ships, it is necessary to collect more grain stocks according to the standards.
