Historical evolution

According to "The Name of Today's County", in the early Jingtai period of the Ming Dynasty, the county was established because of the annihilation of the mine thieves, which means tranquility.

In the sixth year of Jingtai in the Ming Dynasty (1455), Fu'an and Zhenghe counties were relocated to Shouning County, which has been under the jurisdiction of Jianning Prefecture, Funing Prefecture, and Minhai Road.
