1. First, inject water into the prepared small iron pot, put it on the faulty induction cooker to be repaired, turn on the power supply, and clamp the clamp meter in the circuit for observation. Then, touch the power switch on the touch screen of the induction cooker with your hand to turn it on. Press the function key "Hotpot" and the machine will start. You can hear the sound of the fan running, but you can't hear the sound of the equipment inspection pot. At the same time, the display screen of induction cooker shows "E2" fault code and flashes continuously.

2. Check the attached product manual and interpret the fault code E2 as a sensor fault. Now, knowing the approximate location of the fault part of the induction cooker, you can start the disassembly inspection. Turn the induction cooker upside down on the table and see if its fixing screws are straight or cross. Looking at this machine, it is found that the fastening screws used in this machine are triangular (unusual screws), and one of the four fixing screw holes is blocked by white silica gel, which indicates that this machine has been repaired, and the white silica gel is the mark made by the maintenance personnel.

3. First pry open two rubber feet with a small screwdriver, dig out white silica gel, then unscrew all fixing screws with a triangular screwdriver and put them together for installation.

4. Put the induction cooker upside down on the desktop, open the black crystal board on it, and expose the circuit components inside the induction cooker. At this point, you can see that there is a circuit board with multiple indicator lights inside the induction cooker, which is a function key touchpad. There is a coil wound by copper wire in the middle of the induction cooker, which is used to generate a magnetic field by applying alternating current to the coil, and the magnetic field lines pass through the bottom of the iron pot to generate eddy current, so that the bottom of the pot can be heated quickly to achieve the purpose of heating. There is a large circuit board with radiator next to the coil. This board is the main board. Responsible for high and low voltage generation, coil drive and signal processing.

5. According to the previous explanation, the screen shows that the E2 fault is located on the sensor. There are two sensors in the induction cooker, one is online and the other is under the IGBT tube. First, check the coil sensor, as shown by the red circle in the figure. This sensor is actually a thermistor fixed on an elastic rubber bowl with white insulating and heat-conducting silicone grease stuck on it. Its function is to sense the local temperature through the proximity between the thermistor and the black crystal plate. When the temperature exceeds the design limit, the thermistor will send an overtemperature signal to the motherboard. (This signal is completed by the resistance change of the thermistor. After receiving the signal, the motherboard will execute the over-temperature protection instruction, and the whole machine will stop heating and display the high-temperature fault code E6.

6. From the appearance, if you want to remove the coil thermistor for testing, you must first remove the coil. Unscrew the three fixing screws of the coil, turn the coil to one side, and you can see the wires and plugs connecting the thermistor. Unplug the plug and press the rubber bowl of thermistor from the bottom of the coil with your finger, and the rubber bowl will come out from the middle of the coil.

7. Measure the resistance of the thermistor with a clamp ammeter, and insert the two pins of the probe into the socket of the thermistor, as shown in the figure. The meter reading is 1.8 ohm, which is far less than the normal value of about 100K (measured at room temperature of 25 degrees), indicating that it has been damaged by short circuit, as shown in the following figure.

8. Replace the new thermistor with the old thermistor. When installing the thermistor, pay attention to coating white insulating and heat-conducting silicone grease (the silicone grease has the same function as the heat-conducting silicone grease on the computer CPU). Reset the coil, insert the thermistor plug into the original position on the circuit board, and tighten the fixing screw of the coil.

9. Cover the black crystal plate of the induction cooker (the glass panel of the induction cooker), put a small iron pot filled with water on it, and clamp the multimeter to observe the current. Turn on the power of the tester. At this time, you can hear the running sound of the induction cooker fan and the "squeaking" pot inspection sound. Observe that the reading of multimeter is 7.3 A, and the screen shows normal trouble-free code. From this point of view, the fault has been solved. In fact, the fault code of E2 is displayed on the screen due to the short circuit of thermistor.

10. Turn off the power of the induction cooker, unplug the power cord, remove the small pot, turn the induction cooker upside down and put it on the desktop, reinstall and tighten all the fixing screws of the induction cooker. So far, the induction cooker has been working normally, and the E2 fault code is no longer displayed on the screen, and the maintenance process is over.
