The Oriental Pearl TV Tower has chosen the round curved body which is loved by the oriental people as the basic architectural line.

Its design contains the graceful meaning of "like a pouring of large and small pearls into a plate of jade". The architecture of the Oriental Pearl Tower is novel and unique, with a deep oriental charm. The main body consists of three inclined cylinders, three straight cylinders and 11 spheres, forming a huge space frame structure.

The Oriental Pearl Radio and Television Tower is a multi-tube structure, with three hollow giant columns with a diameter of 9 meters and a height of 287 meters, which are connected by beams with a height of 6 meters. At the elevation of 93 meters, it is supported by three inclined columns with a diameter of 7 meters, and the inclined columns are at an angle of 61 with the ground.

The TV tower has three spheres: the lower, the upper and the top. The top ball is called Space Hall, with a center elevation of 342 meters and a sphere diameter of 16 meters. * * * has four floors, followed by elevator room, conference hall, sightseeing floor and pipeline floor.

The upper sphere has a diameter of 45 meters and a central elevation of 272.5 meters. Landscape facilities of the Oriental Pearl:

1. Sightseeing floor

The elevation of the outdoor sightseeing corridor of the lower sphere with a diameter of 51m is 91m. The 263-meter upper sphere sightseeing layer is 45 meters in diameter, which is the subjective light layer of the Oriental Pearl Radio and Television Tower. The 259-meter suspended sightseeing gallery is 151 meters long and 2.1 meters wide, which was transformed from the edge of the original second spherical sightseeing platform.

2. revolving restaurant

The revolving restaurant in the air of the Oriental Pearl Radio and Television Tower is located on the sphere 267 meters above the Oriental Pearl Tower, with a business area of 1,511 square meters, which can accommodate 351 tourists at the same time.

3. Exhibition Hall

In May p>2111, the 6,111-square-meter Shanghai Urban History Development Exhibition Hall was opened in the tower seat of the Oriental Pearl Radio and Television Tower.
