The environment of our school is quite good, beautiful, comfortable and livable. The school faces the Yellow Sea to the east and green mountains to the west. It has a beautiful environment and a pleasant climate. It is the coastal university closest to the sea and with the longest coastline in China.

The school has a 5,000-square-meter provincial college student entrepreneurship incubator and a kilometer-long cultural and art corridor. Ruziniu, Bajingyuan, Sanyuan Lake, Yanyu Pavilion, Bell Tower, "Shengteng" sculpture and other iconic cultural attractions are scattered throughout the campus.

Yantai University is located in Yantai, a national historical and cultural city and the best charming city in China. It is a key comprehensive university in Shandong Province and a high-level university construction university in Shandong Province.

The school was founded in 1984 and was jointly funded by Peking University and Tsinghua University.
