No difference. "Reader", formerly known as "Reader's Digest", is a Chinese-language bimonthly publication sponsored by Reader Publishing and Media Co., Ltd.

Founded in 1922 as a monthly publication. is a comprehensive family magazine of broad public interest. The stories and articles it covers cover health, ecology, government, international affairs, sports, tourism, science, business, education, humor and jokes.
In 1938, "Reader's Digest" began publishing the British edition. During World War II, Latin American and Swedish editions were added.
Later, "Reader's Digest" further expanded to Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, South Africa and Switzerland.
The international Chinese version of "Reader's Digest" was founded in March 1965. The first editor-in-chief was Ms. Lin Taiyi, the daughter of literary master Mr. Lin Yutang. The traditional Chinese version is sold in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Simplified Chinese version is released in Malaysia and Singapore.
Since 1998, Reader's Digest has been actively exploring the feasibility of publishing in China.
In November 2004, Reader's Digest and the Shanghai Press and Publication Bureau announced the establishment of a long-term publishing partnership.
In January 2008, the first issue of "Reader's Digest" was launched in China. Since the magazine was controlled by Shanghai Press and Publication Development Company, the name of the magazine was changed to "Public Knowledge".
