Introduction Perhaps many car owners have encountered this problem: When driving, the battery is dead and cannot be started. What should I do? You can use a battery charger at this time. Battery chargers are usually divided into fully automatic and manual gear chargers. So how to use the battery car appliances? What are the precautions for battery charger? The following small series will talk about the use of battery chargers.
What is the delicious battery charger? The battery charger generally adopts imported power module, which is the most novel intelligent automatic charger for high-frequency electronic circuits. Low loss and high efficiency. It is suitable for charging 12V and 24V batteries. The charger also has the function of preventing reverse connection. If it is not connected or the polarity is reversed, there will be no voltage output, and it can work normally only if it is connected correctly. It also has the protection of overvoltage, overcurrent and overheating. Battery chargers are usually divided into fully automatic and manual gear chargers.
how to use the battery charger 1. check the appearance of the battery: the battery should be intact, without cracks and obvious traces of battery acid leakage. If the car has any of the above injuries, do not start the car, so as not to hurt yourself or others.
2. Wear relevant protective gear: Wear goggles and rubber gloves before touching the car battery. Goggles and gloves will protect your eyes and hands from the concentrated acid spilled from the battery.
3. Ensure the safety of jumper cables: Ensure that jumper cables connected to automobiles are safe and corrosion-proof. If the battery cable is corroded, please use a hard brush to clean it as much as possible.
4. park the car correctly: park the car with sufficient electricity next to the car that needs to be charged, but make sure that the two cars are not in contact. Ideally, two cars are parked next to each other in the same direction, or the heads of two cars are parked opposite each other. Ensure that the jumper cable can connect the batteries of both vehicles.
5. Turn on the engine to find the battery: Turn off the fully charged car, and then open the hood of both cars to find the battery. Remember the positive and negative poles of each battery. Positive poles are marked with a plus sign (+), while negative poles are marked with a minus sign (-).
6. Connect the positive jumper cable: connect both ends of the positive jumper cable to the positive terminals of the batteries of the two vehicles respectively. Unless otherwise marked, the positive jumper cable is usually red. Connect one end of the positive jumper cable to the battery without electricity and the other end to the fully charged battery.
7. connecting the negative jumper cable: connect one end of the negative jumper cable with a fully charged battery. In most cases, the negative jumper cable is black. Connect the other end of the negative jumper cable to the grounding metal part of the automobile. In this way, the car with exhausted electricity can be started. You can connect the grounding cable to the frame, chassis, or other parts that are clean enough and have no paint or oxidation.
8. Start the engine of the tram: At the same time of starting the engine, the charging system of the vehicle will start to charge the battery without electricity through the jumper cable. Charge the engine for at least 5 minutes after starting it. This will make the battery start charging itself, although it will take longer to fully charge the battery.
9. Start the car engine with exhausted power: If there is enough power in the jumper cable and the charging battery, the car engine can be easily started. If it fails to start successfully, please charge the battery for another 5 minutes.
1. Dismantle jumper cables: Dismantle jumper cables in the reverse order of connection to avoid sparks or explosions. If you first connect the negative jumper cable with the negative terminal of the battery, then please remove it at the end.
11. Others: The car with exhausted power should be started for at least 5 minutes, so that the generator can charge the battery. Drive or idle for at least 2 minutes after the car starts. Sometimes, the battery can be fully charged during this time; If the battery is not charged enough to drive the car, it may be necessary to replace it with a new battery.
Precautions for battery charger 1. Charging
1. Charging preparation:
1) The battery must be charged as soon as possible after the vehicle is used, and the storage time shall not exceed 24 hours;
2) Open the cover plate of the battery charging hole to ensure ventilation above the battery;
3) Pull out the battery power socket of the forklift and connect the plug on the charger with the battery power plug (movable plug);
4) turn on the charger and start charging.
2. Inspection of charging process:
1) There should be a special person to watch over the charging process, and when there is a charging failure, it should be stopped and overhauled in time;
2) If the electrolyte in the battery overflows too much, it should be stopped immediately for maintenance and recharged after troubleshooting;
3) during charging, the temperature of the electrolyte shall not exceed 5C .. If it is close to 5C, try to cool down or reduce the charging current. If the temperature still does not drop, you should temporarily stop charging and continue charging after the battery temperature drops.
3. Correct operation after charging:
1) Turn off the charger, and then cut off the mains supply;
2) disconnect the connecting plug between the battery and the charger;
3) Close the cover plate of the charging hole of the battery monomer and connect the battery with the forklift.
2. Water replenishment
1. Distilled water or deionized water must be used to replenish the battery. The temperature of distilled water injected into the battery should be between 1-35C, not too high or too low;
2. Replenish distilled water after the battery is fully charged. It is forbidden to replenish water before and during charging;
3. After adding distilled water, the liquid level should be 1-15mm higher than the polar plate (visible to the naked eye), and it should not be too high.
III. Cleaning
1. The surface, connecting wires and bolts of the battery should be kept clean and dry. If there is any acid solution, cotton yarn should be dipped in alkaline solution to wipe it off, and then washed with clear water and dried. In the process of cleaning, alkaline solution is absolutely not allowed to enter the battery;
2, battery connection, must keep good contact, so as not to cause sparks to burn the pole or battery explosion;
3. No harmful substances are allowed to fall into the battery. Instruments and appliances for measuring electrolyte density, temperature and liquid level should be kept clean to avoid bringing impurities into the battery;
4. No conductive objects are allowed to be placed on the battery cover, so as to avoid short circuit of the battery;
5. After being used for a long time, the box body will expand locally due to corrosion, which will easily lead to monomer leakage. The box body should be washed in time, dried and repainted when necessary to ensure reliable insulation.
Fourth, personnel safety
1. When checking the battery, you should wear protective glasses and special gloves;
2. The electrolyte of the battery contains dilute sulfuric acid, which is corrosive. If oil reaches the skin, it should be washed with water and soap as soon as possible. Wash your eyes with clear water immediately if you splash into your eyes, and contact a doctor.
