Shi Xinfeng is one of the 36 small peaks in Huangshan Mountain, with an altitude of1683m. Chengkan, known as Longxi in ancient times, was originally under the jurisdiction of Shexian County, the capital of Huizhou, and now it is under the jurisdiction of Huizhou District (formerly Xixiang County) of Huangshan City. Since it was renamed Chengkan, it has a history of 1800 years and is one of the best preserved ancient villages in China.
Chengkan is surrounded by mountains "just like the Eight Diagrams of the Book of Changes", and the streams in the village pass by the village, forming a figure similar to the fish of Yin and Yang. The Yang in the Book of Changes is "presenting" and the Yin is "talking", hence the name.
