The Hong Kong film "The 19th Floor," adapted from the best-selling novel "The 19th Floor of Hell" by the famous suspense novelist Cai Jun, has now passed the review of the Film Bureau.

Reporters learned yesterday that the film will be released in major theaters across the country on August 28.

Hong Kong director Lai Miu-suet, who directed "Landscape of Love", is filming "The 19th Floor" this time, and has invited Gillian Chung, Yong Er, Tam Yaowen and Tam Junyan to join the cast. Charlene Choi also plays a cameo in the film.

"'The 19th Floor' is positioned as a horror film but not a ghost film. It is a film about hypnosis that goes deep into people's inner world." The film's producer introduced that the film is adapted from Cai Jun's novel "The 19th Floor of Hell".

It reveals the inner struggles of modern people through a mysterious text message game circulated in college girls' dormitories. It has sold nearly a million copies in China.
