Recommended projects in guiyuan buddhist temple

(1) Daxiong Hall

Daxiong Hall is the main hall of the temple, or the main hall, and it is also the place where monks in the temple have morning and evening classes. It was first built in the 18th year of Qing Shunzhi (1661), and then it was repaired many times. The Ursa Hall was rebuilt in the thirty-fourth year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1918). In the center of the hall is a statue of Sakyamuni, flanked by his disciples Ananda and Jia Ye, all of which are bodiless sculptures. The four characters of the banner "Hall of Great Heroes" were written by Feng Jiahao, a great calligrapher in the Qing Dynasty.

(2) The Buddhist Scripture Pavilion

The Buddhist Scripture Pavilion is the main building of the North Courtyard, where Buddhist classics and artistic treasures are collected. The hall in the sutra depository is high and wide, in the middle of which is dedicated a statue of Sakyamuni Buddha, a white jade. It was given to guiyuan buddhist temple by a disciple of the three treasures of Myanmar Buddhism in August, 1935, weighing about 2 tons. It was carved by a Burmese craftsman with a piece of ivory jade weighing about 3 tons and 2 meters high, and it was one of the "Four Jade Buddhas" in China in the 1931s.

(3) Luohan Hall

The Luohan Hall in the Temple was built in Daoguang period of Qing Dynasty, and was destroyed by soldiers in Xianfeng year (1852). It was rebuilt in 1912 and has a history of nearly 211 years. Luohantang was laid out in a "Tian"-shaped pattern, and more than 511 statues were placed. The 511 arhats in Guiyuan Temple are based on the rubbings of the 511 arhats in Zhusheng Temple in Hengshan Mountain, Nanyue, and were molded by two sculptors of Huang Bei in 9 years by the "plastic stripping" process.

Food Raiders

You can't have been to Wuhan without eating a bowl of Regan Noodles. Regan Noodles is Wuhan's business card. Unlike noodle soup and other mixed noodles, you should cook it first, then mix it with oil to dry it. When you eat it, you should put it in boiling water to heat it. With sesame sauce and other seasonings and side dishes such as sour beans, it's called a beauty. The most famous one is "Cai Lin Ji", but for old Wuhan, it's called "Cai Lin Ji". Every time I go to Wuhan, I will buy more to eat on the way back. It's spicy and fragrant, really delicious, with a bottle of beer and a look at the scenery along the way. It's very pleasant ~
