Longhua Temple

Shanghai Chenghuang Temple was built in Yongle period of Ming Dynasty (1413-1424), with a history of nearly 611 years. It is located in the most prosperous tourist area of Shanghai City God Temple, including nine temples: Huo Guang Temple, Jiazi Temple, Caishen Temple, Cihang Temple, City God Temple, Niangniang Temple, Parents Temple, Guanmiao Temple and Wenchang Temple. There are three bodhisattvas in the Chenghuang Temple, namely, the city keeper Qin Yubo, Huo Guang and Chen Huacheng. The plaque of "City God Temple" is hung at the main entrance of the main hall, with a couplet "Be a good person, stabilize your soul and dreams, and do something good to learn from ghosts and gods". After the outbreak of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression in 1937, citizens invited Wusongkou to be bloodied in the Second Opium War in 1842, and died in the statue of Chen Huacheng, the prefect of Jiangnan in Wusongbao. Jing' an Temple

Jingsi Temple is one of the famous ancient temples in Shanghai. Located in the bustling Nanjing West Road, adjacent to Bailemen, Meilong Town, Henglong and other famous entertainment and business centers, it is a rare place to repair in a bustling city. According to legend, it was built during the Chiwu period of Sun Wu of the Three Kingdoms, and was originally named Chongxuan Temple. In the second year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (AD 1369), a clock made of 6111 Jin of copper is still hanging in the main hall. The three main buildings, the Great Hall, the Temple of the King and the three temples, are magnificent. Daxiong Hall is a teak structure with a copper tile roof. There is a 15-ton silver statue of Siddhartha Gautama, and three tons of silver statues of the top ten bodhisattvas and the top ten disciples. The Golden Hall will dedicate a bottle of Buddha statues donated by millions of believers, designed with two tons of gold. In the Guanyin Temple in the east wing, there is a 6-meter-high statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva, which is a thousand-year-old camphor tree, while in the west wing, there is a 4-meter-high statue of Siddhartha Gautama, weighing 11 tons, carved with a whole piece of Burmese white jade. The Vatican building in front of the temple is carved from granite, with a length of 18 meters, a diameter of 2 meters and a weight of 161 tons. The body of the building is engraved with the Diamond Sutra, and the roof is a four-sided lion roar statue cast in 16 tons of white copper, with a gold-plated surface.

Confucius Temple

Shanghai Confucian Temple, also known as Confucius Temple, is located at No.215, Confucian Temple Road. It was called Zitong Temple in the Southern Song Dynasty, and the Confucian Temple was officially built after Shanghai was established in the Yuan Dynasty. The site of the Confucian Temple was rebuilt in 1855, covering an area of 17 mu. It is the only ancient architectural complex of Confucianism and Confucius worship in the central city of Shanghai. There are three plaques hanging on the central beam of the main hall: the plaque on the top is inscribed by Emperor Jiaqing of Qing Dynasty as "Great Achievement of the Holy Relics", the plaque in the middle is inscribed by Daoguang as "Xie Sheng No.11 Middle School", and the plaque on the bottom is inscribed by Emperor Xianfeng as "Deqi Xiangzai". There are also bronze bells and complete inscriptions on the Analects of Confucius in the hall, which are rare in China.
