I have participated in Shanghai and Beijing auto shows many times before, and it is the first time for me to participate in Chengdu auto show. This time, I was warmly invited by the Driving School, and I came to Chengdu to experience the delicious food of the land of abundance, and I also felt the charm of Chengdu Auto Show from the perspective of an ordinary audience. Previously, the report team of Jiashipai Auto Show had made a detailed analysis and comparison of the models of this year's Chengdu Auto Show. So this time, I won't introduce the models in detail, but summarize the uniqueness of this auto show by summarizing the ten characteristics of the auto show.
1. There are fewer concept cars and more models on the market
Compared with the past, both the organizing committee and the manufacturers are much more pragmatic. Manufacturers no longer release a large number of concept cars to attract attention, but put all their energy into the new models that will be listed soon. Excluding independent car companies, the only model that multinational car companies can be called the world premiere at this Chengdu Auto Show is BMW's brand-new 4 Series. The main reason for this is the impact of the epidemic in the first half of the year. In the second half of the year, all car companies are trying their best to take the new listed models as the protagonists of their booths in order to survive. The most typical one is Mercedes-Benz, even the media test drive meeting was not held, and the compact family GLA was directly? 2. The popularity of the new car-making forces has obviously decreased
In last year, the popularity of the new car-making forces remained high at both the Shanghai Auto Show and the Guangzhou Auto Show. Perhaps it is because Shanghai and Guangzhou are both restricted cities, which has also promoted the great development of new forces in the local area. At the Chengdu Auto Show, there was no limited brand in Chengdu itself, so the popularity of the new force of building cars was significantly reduced. The main performance is that there are very few new forces participating in the exhibition. Apart from Battenburg County, which is on the verge of bankruptcy, the new forces, such as Xintiandu Horizon, which participated in the Shanghai Auto Show, did not participate this time. Even LI, recognized as one of the four most famous new forces, did not participate in this exhibition. It can be seen that the new car-making forces that have neither policy assistance nor market downturn have a bumpy road ahead, and it is unknown who will eventually survive.
iii. Korean brands make efforts in the middle and high-end fields
At this auto show, Hyundai and Kia, as weak brands, both launched their own domestic flagship sedan Sonata X and brand-new K5 Kaiku in China market. Korean brands have been in a slump since the Sadr incident in 2117, and gradually marginalized in the China market. The sales of Sonata IX and cash K in May both fell to one or two hundred vehicles. In the previous monthly sales summary article, I mentioned more than once that the current trend of the automobile market is that the strong will remain strong. The popularity of the booths of Chengdu Auto Show was compared. The two fields and one crowd in ordinary brands and the BBA booth in luxury brands were crowded. The booths of brands like Dongfeng PSA and Mazda have more sales consultants than customers. Therefore, the road ahead of the weak brands is extremely difficult. What specific ways to revive it, new models or new marketing? Perhaps it is worth thinking about by manufacturers.
5. The manufacturers name themselves free
The most typical one is the Great Wall, and other names such as Big Dog, White Cat, Tank 311 are introduced in one breath. There is also a model that has not yet been named "cat" for the time being. Seeing these names for the first time is like coming to the zoo. Whether this alternative naming method can promote sales remains to be seen. Perhaps it is also an eye-catching alternative marketing.
In addition to the Great Wall, Geely also named the CMA architecture "Super Matrix" in Chinese, and Wuling also released the Hongguangxia concept car. These can be regarded as models of self-release. Perhaps the names like X7 and 731 can no longer meet the differentiated needs of manufacturers, and directly start to find another way.

VI. JAC Volkswagen started again
After JAC and Volkswagen held hands in p>2116, there was no big move between them. Since the establishment of JAC Volkswagen, only one JAC new energy rebranding vehicle, Sihao E21X, has been listed. Later, with the suspension of the introduction of the SEAT brand, many people thought that Jianghuai Volkswagen might be yellow. However, with Volkswagen's full shareholding in Jianghuai this year, it is obvious that Jianghuai Volkswagen will re-formulate new brand and model introduction plans. At the Chengdu Auto Show, all the original Jianghuai new energy vehicles in the Jianghuai booth were changed to the standard.
This indicates that Volkswagen is fully involved in the daily operation of Jianghuai, and Sihao brand, originally a joint venture of Jianghuai Volkswagen, will be directly awarded to Jianghuai New Energy. After that, the introduction of JAC passenger cars, future Volkswagen brand models and MEB platform has also been carried out as planned. Volkswagen will participate in the China market in a new way and further expand its market share. VII. The popularity of head brand is obviously higher than that of other first-and second-tier markets
As a new first-tier city, Chengdu thought that, like Guangzhou, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, joint venture brands and luxury brands would receive much more attention than their own brands. However, I didn't expect that perhaps because the whole western market contains a broader third, fourth and fifth line market, the attention of the head independent brand is no less than that of the joint venture brand. The popularity of the booth of the Red Flag of Geely Chang 'an Great Wall can be compared with that of the public. There is also a particularly interesting Jetta brand. As a local real estate in Chengdu, the slogan of "Chengdu Baby, Drive Jetta" has been advertised on the booth and off-site, which has also attracted a large number of people. From this point of view, independent brands do have a much higher reputation with consumers in the vast third, fourth and fifth tier markets than in the first and second tier markets.
VIII. SUV market remains hot
In the first half of this year, the decline of SUV was less than that of the whole automobile market, and the SUV boom that has been going on for several years is still going on. This auto show SUV is also obviously the highlight of various car companies. Whether it is a joint venture brand, an independent brand or a luxury brand, the model with the largest crowd on the booth will always be an SUV. Judging from the car sales in June, the proportion of SUVs continues to exceed that of cars. According to the previous forecast, the final share of SUV sales in the entire passenger car market will exceed 51%. At present, both the "one car and two meals" strategy of Japanese brands and the consistent strong performance of independent brands in the SUV market are boosting the SUV market.
but I still want to say that cars are the foundation of all derivative cars. Those car companies that gradually lost their physical strength in the first half of the year, without exception, all walked on one leg, such as the magic speed cheetah Zotye and so on. So to sum up, the balanced development of cars and SUVs is the basic guarantee for the future sales of car companies.
IX. The farce of the auto show continues
Every auto show, all kinds of rights protection or dealer fights emerge one after another, and this Chengdu auto show is no exception. Before the media closed in the afternoon, the rights of dealers appeared in the booth of BAIC Group, which led to the direct lights-out of the booth of BAIC Group and made the security guards form a human wall. Fortunately, no other incidents broke out in the next few days. This also reflects that although the scale of China's automobile market has ranked first in the world, the chaos still exists objectively. Therefore, it is still a long way to go to build a more orderly and standardized automobile market in the future.
11. Miss Car Model is not very powerful
At this Chengdu Auto Show, many miss Car Model wore masks, which brought great troubles to the old masters who professionally photographed car models. In addition, the appearance time of the auto show model was also controlled, which led to the failure of Mr. Liu's shooting on the first day, so that Mr. Liu went to the scene to shoot twice on the second and third days to barely complete the task. We should pay high tribute to Mr. Liu for his professionalism.
However, compared with the "no model" at the Beijing-Shanghai Auto Show, it's very rare to see the car model girls in Chengdu. As one of the most important tasks of Mr. Liu, we should still give a broad stage for Mr. Liu to play.
the above ten points are all about my first visit to Chengdu auto show. In the second half of this year, there are two A-class auto shows, Beijing Auto Show and Guangzhou Auto Show.
