Safety of bird's nest in Yanzhiwu
A few days ago, many food experts were concerned about whether eating bird's nest was harmful. Professor Zheng, Dean of Food College of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, gave a clear explanation for the formation of nitrite in bird's nest: "According to relevant research, bird's nest can produce nitrite by itself under the natural temperature and humidity conditions in Southeast Asia, while water-soluble nitrite in bird's nest can be removed by soaking and cleaning." Therefore, dried bird's nest needs to be washed and soaked before traditional consumption, which is safe to eat.

"Don't panic because you don't understand." Professor Zheng added. It is understood that in order to promote the research of bird's nest food, Yanzhiwu will hold a seminar on bird's nest nutrition and food safety in the near future. By then, more industry experts and scholars will attend the meeting, hoping to make contributions to standardizing the bird's nest market.

At present, there is no unified national standard and industry standard for bird's nest products. In GB 2760, food is meat products and ham, both of which are directly imported by consumers. Dried bird's nest is a natural tonic, not instant. It needs to be soaked, washed, plucked and stewed many times before it can be eaten. After these processes, a lot of nitrite will be washed away, and the nitrite residue in the final product consumed by consumers is extremely low, which will not cause health harm to consumers within the limit of 30mg/kg in GB2760. In addition, in 1994, FAO and WHO stipulate that the daily allowable intake of nitrite (ADI value) is 0.2mg/kg body weight, that is, the daily allowable intake of adults weighing 60 kg is 12 mg. According to the calculation that dried bird's nest contains 30 mg/kg of nitrite, it is safe for adults to eat 400 grams of dried bird's nest every day, but in fact, the maximum amount of dried bird's nest per person per day is only 3-0 mg.

In the face of some people's ignorance of bird's nest, Yan's house has always shown a responsible attitude. Yanzhiwu is the earliest enterprise specializing in bird's nest in China, and also a chain enterprise registered by the Ministry of Commerce. In order to ensure customers to eat safe and healthy bird's nest, Yanzhiwu is the first in the country to propose the service of replacing stew with bubble, so that consumers can eat safe and delicious bird's nest. At the same time, the dried bird's nest sold is accompanied by detailed instructions to ensure that customers are safe when enjoying bird's nest food.
