This is the 153rd unique traveler story pushed by Zouba.com
This issue’s guest: Old Cat Xu Bingkuan
Xu Bingkuan, a Beijinger, An avid self-driving travel enthusiast, as early as the late 1980s, he drove a Dongfeng truck carrying oil barrels and started an out-of-control self-driving tour. He was a pioneer in domestic self-driving travel. Since meeting Wulong in Chongqing in 1999, he has visited Wulong 156 times in 21 years. Traveling across thousands of mountains and rivers across the country, he loves Wulong in his heart. He is the "living map" of Wulong. He "lives in seclusion" in Wulong every spring and autumn. Wulong is not only his second hometown, but also his spirit. home.
Q1: Hello Brother Xu, I am very honored to invite you to "Let's Have a Date". Zouba.com is a media matrix focusing on travel and self-driving. This is a column for travelers with stories, and you are a self-driving driver with a lot of stories. Can you introduce yourself to the fans first?
Thank you Zouba.com for giving me the opportunity to get to know everyone! I am Xu Bingkuan, a native of Beijing. I am 59 years old and an avid self-driving travel enthusiast. No matter when you carry wine in the trunk, you call it "the down and out wine shop."
Q2: It can be said that you are one of the first self-driving travelers in my country, as early as the 1980s. , when cars were still a rarity, you had already started your self-driving journey. Can you tell us about your first self-driving trip?
Because I am engaged in medical work, I can make many friends from all over the world. In 1988, I met several friends from Inner Mongolia. Whenever I have a vacation, I go to the grassland to play. The grassland I am talking about is a bit far away from Beijing. It is in the chicken head part of the chicken-shaped map of the motherland, Mordaoga. At that time, Mordaoga was the largest national forest farm. There were two Toyota 4500 jeeps in the forest farm, which could run up to 180 kilometers per hour on dirt roads.
There are mixed-race children in the villages on the Sino-Soviet border, which the locals call "Ermaozi Village". The famous local delicacy is "dog meat with patchouli". The lumberjacks, working at temperatures as low as -40 degrees Celsius, rely on dog meat hotpot with patchouli to ward off the cold. In autumn, jeeps race against wild geese in the sky. There is a heroic life like "a crane lining the clouds in a clear sky brings poetry to the blue sky".
Once, from Yakeshi to Manzhouli. We drove a big truck with gasoline barrels tied to the tank, because there were no gas stations on the grassland at that time. Along the way, I couldn’t get enough of the delicious hand-chopped meat. According to rough statistics, I have taken self-driving tours in Inner Mongolia more than 30 times, including five trips to the farthest place, Mordaoga. I am engaged in the radiology profession, with radiology leave + teaching leave. In that era, I could be regarded as the person with the most vacations.
Q3: In the early days, you were galloping on the grasslands. After you came to Wulong, Chongqing in 1999, you completely fell in love with the land in southeastern Chongqing. It is said that you have been there more than 150 times in 21 years. Why is it so attractive? you?
In 1992, due to a change in work, I realized the freedom of time in my life. I have traveled around the great rivers and mountains of my motherland. Among the four ancient cities in China, I like Langzhong Ancient City the most and have been there four times. I also went to West Lake and Slender West Lake four or five times. I saw the sea of ??clouds in Huangshan Mountain and caught up with the Cloud Waterfall in Lushan Mountain. It takes more than a month to go to Tibet every time, and I was surprised to find that Gannan Norgai Grassland is the most beautiful grassland in China.
Since I discovered Wulong in 1999, Wulong has actually stopped me from traveling. 18 years ago, I bought a pickup truck and put it in Wulong. I often fly there for self-driving tours. At that time, in my eyes, Wulong was a primitive, isolated and beautiful place. There are no airports, no highways. The first time I walked from Chongqing to Wulong took more than 7 hours, and the 319 National Highway was full of shell craters. Looking down from the dirt road without guardrails, the rolling Wujiang River is frightening.
In 21 years, I have been to Wulong 156 times. The scope of my activities can reach Maotai Town, Aizhai Bridge in western Hunan, and the Lizhi Gorge along the river in Guizhou.
In the past few years, I have taken 4,000 people on the Wulong to Southeast Chongqing route. They are all AA-based tours in Moments, and I don’t earn a penny. I developed an immersive self-driving travel route 156 times in 21 years, built friendships, and made many high-quality travel companions.
Some people say, if you take so many people to play and you don’t make a penny, what are you doing? In fact, they don't understand my happiness. I take 100 people on a trip, and 100 people are happy. I get 100 happiness, and I am the happiest. Ouyang Xiu wrote in "The Drunkard's Pavilion": "People know that they have fun by traveling with the prefect, but they don't know that the prefect enjoys it." In fact, this is the happiness of sharing.
Special-line travel players are self-driving tour leaders, travel experts, and super commentators. They are familiar with local history and culture, have thoughts and feelings, and are called travelers with living maps. Special-line travel players are engaged in immersive self-driving travel, rather than sightseeing self-driving travel.
Q4: Now you have become Wulong’s “living map”, a “celebrity” in Wulong’s tourism industry, and Wulong’s tourism ambassador. What are the scenic spots in Wulong that are worth visiting? , can you recommend some?
Let’s put it this way, Wulong Tourism is the perfect combination of the world’s natural heritage site and the dreamy countryside of ancient Chinese villages; it is a national tourist resort with landscape hotels and B&Bs, and the spotless green mountains and green waters. It is a perfect combination of a national AAAAA-level scenic spot and the most beautiful rural roads; a world-class outdoor sports base, a perfect combination of Wulong mountain sports; an immersive global self-driving tour route, and a sense of simplicity and kindness in the poetry and wine countryside. The perfect combination of folk customs and original ecological ingredients.
Wulong covers an area of ??2901.3 square kilometers, with a 2000-meter Fairy Mountain and a 1900-meter Baima Mountain. There are 266 various scenic spots in Wulong, each of which is worth visiting carefully.
The Fairy Mountain Grassland is the epitome of the Norgai Grassland in Gannan. It has the world’s largest group of natural bridges, the Longshui Gorge ground fissure, China’s only world natural heritage cave - Furong Cave, Baima Mountain Wangxian Cliff, etc... …
Q5: I heard that you are not only a player, but also a gourmet. In addition to the beautiful scenery, Wulong attracts you as well as the food. Can you introduce the food in southeastern Chongqing?
There are so many delicacies in Wulong, such as the unique bowls of fragrant mutton. I think the most delicious one is the bowl of fragrant lamb eyes. Dried sheep's horn tofu, the hometown of dried tofu in China, chicken in a tripod pot from Xianren Cave next to Rhinoceros Village, and local chicken from Paoshan in the cave. The soup pot contains bamboo fungus and other mountain delicacies. It is the most delicious chicken hotpot I have ever tasted. The roasted beef head on toast tastes like bear paws.
There is no pollution in Wulong. People in Wulong grow vegetables in the same tea-growing environment. We people from big cities feel that the vegetables in Wulong are all sweet. Night barbecues abound in Wulong. I can eat authentic wild Wujiang fish and farmed giant salamander in the countryside, and the price is so affordable that you won’t believe it.
Q6: You said: "Wulong is not a place where a thousand people come once, but a place where one person comes a thousand times." There are very few people who are so dedicated to a place, except for the beautiful scenery. Besides delicious food, what other unique places in Wulong make you linger so much?
In 2014, at the Wulong Tourism 20th Anniversary Roundtable. As a tourist representative, I lamented: Wulong is not a place where 1,000 people come once, but a place where one person comes 1,000 times. I know that the charm of Wulong lies in its all-area immersive self-driving tour routes, including Fuling to the Wujiang Gallery in Wulong, and Wulong to the Wujiang Gallery in Pengshui.
You can walk for hundreds of kilometers along the Wujiang Gallery. The Wujiang Gallery is like a link connecting Pengshui, Chiyou, Jiuli City, Asia’s largest weather covered bridge in Zhuoshui Ancient Town, Qianjiang, Youyang Peach Blossom Spring, Gongtan Ancient Town, Shenyang From the "Border Town" written in the writing, the Li Zhi Gorge in Guizhou is connected in series. < /p>

Q8: You are still a passionate person who loves traveling, reading, drinking, sharing, and making like-minded friends. Can you talk about your personal understanding of travel or self-driving travel?
I admire immersive self-driving travel, which focuses on experience and perception. Visual shock, historical penetration, and cultural attraction are all indispensable. Drinking is indispensable when traveling by car, but don’t drink when driving, and don’t drive when drinking. Everyone must remember! In "The Drunkard's Pavilion", the drunkard's interest is not in wine, but in the landscape. The joy of mountains and rivers is the heart that is gained, and the wine that contains it. The explanation is: The drunkard's interest is not in drinking, but in appreciating the beautiful scenery of mountains and rivers. The pleasure of appreciating the beautiful scenery of mountains and rivers is grasped in the heart and placed on wine. Wujiang Gallery is the thousand-year-old salt road between Sichuan and Guizhou. I can tell many real and interesting historical stories.
During a self-driving trip, in addition to food, accommodation and transportation, there are two things that will cause travelers to be eliminated. One is the team leader who does not study and has no cultural background. The second is low-quality travelers. I think going to the right place with the right person in the right season is the ironclad rule of self-driving travel.
Where words cannot go, poetry can! Where the soul cannot go, wine can!
Q9: There are many such experts and strange people in your circle. Everyone is willing to play a route to the extreme and do one thing perfectly. Many people may not understand that the world is so complicated. There are many places that you have never been to. Why do you have to go to the same place all the time? What do you think of this problem?
For example, a group of people sit around the fire, chatting and telling life stories and true feelings while adding firewood. Roast some 2cm small potatoes (a specialty of Wulong) or green vegetables on the embers of the iron barbecue box, and drink beer at night. Overnight at a farmhouse in Datian Village, where the fragrance of rice flowers tells of a good harvest and the sound of frogs. Do you get tired of doing this kind of thing? !
After walking a hundred times, there will be a hundred different scenery, because there are a hundred times of searching for beauty.
The world is filled with all kinds of beauty, but only one heart exists. Wulong ~ Southeast Chongqing belongs to the Wuling Mountains, and the simple and kind folk customs are the most beautiful scenery. In Chinese-style tourism, the most beautiful scenery is people, and the ugliest scenery is also people.
Q10: Thank you very much, Brother Xu, for accepting the interview in "Let's Go". Bar fans also love traveling, self-driving, and life. There will be many Bar fans who know Wulong through you. You have made another wonderful sharing for Wulong. Finally, please give a few words to the fans.
I secretly believe that there are three things you cannot make wrong in life. If you make a mistake, you may have to pay for it for the rest of your life. Having a good teacher brings wisdom throughout your life. Having a good leader or partner makes a lifetime of success. Have a good lover and a happy life. The teacher I am referring to is not an ordinary mathematics, physics and chemistry teacher, but a life teacher who guides oneself to discover the truth of life and understand the poetry of life. Some people will say; I am my life teacher, yes! You have to read and think, travel, and communicate with experts. Otherwise, it will be difficult for you to be qualified as your life teacher.
Immersive travel is one of the best platforms to improve your knowledge. I have a belief that I should watch less TV and read more books, and memorize my favorite poems. The books you have read and the roads you have traveled will be engraved in your bones, making you a unique self that is different from others.
Traveling through thousands of rivers and mountains, I love Wulong in my heart!
