Barbecue is a very extensive topic. There are not only dozens of American barbecues, but also more international ones. I can't think of a dish that won't be barbecued on an open flame. This is the first and best way to cook meat. Because it is impossible to choose the best, I will share some of my favorites.
Texas-style barbecue
Texas is famous for its barbecue. Their style is mainly beef seasoned with salt and coarse ground black pepper. Breast meat, beef ribs and spicy beef sausage are the staple foods of Texas barbecue, but pork, chicken and turkey can be eaten. In Texas, people don't rely on sauce for seasoning. They let cigarettes speak.
Memphis-style barbecue
Memphis is famous for its ribs. Memphis-style ribs are coated with sweet and greasy barbecue sauce, and the ribs are smoked to make them crisp and delicious. Memphis is also the birthplace of barbecue pasta, pork and barbecue sauce-mixed pasta.
Carolina barbecue
Carolina barbecue is a whole pig barbecue, which is popular from Virginia to Georgia. The whole pig is smoked by pit and coated with sweet and spicy vinegar until it is soft. Then chop up the meat and serve it with coleslaw, or put it on a bun covered with coleslaw.
Hawaiian BBQ
Hawaiian BBQ revolves around Huli Huli Chicken. Half a chicken is coated with a mixture of ginger, garlic, sugar, soy sauce and pepper, and baked on hot charcoal to make a lake chicken. Hawaiian barbecue is full of pan-Asian and Polynesian flavors, including whole pigs, beef ribs and smoked fish.
Korean barbecue
Although it is closer to barbecue, in my opinion, Korean barbecue is worth mentioning. Korean barbecue is to cut beef and pork into thin fat slices. Korean barbecue with all kinds of sweet, salty and sour side dishes is called "banchan", which is an interesting way to have dinner with a group of friends.
BBQ in China
BBQ in China includes barbecued pork, Beijing roast duck and smoked chicken. China barbecue is usually made in a special smoke oven, painted beautifully, and added the sweet spiced and seafood flavor of China.
Mediterranean BBQ
BBQ usually consists of fish, mutton, chicken and vegetables, and can be found in the Strait of Gibraltar and the Mediterranean area. Barbecue in an open fire or brick-burning wood oven. Mediterranean barbecue is seasoned with spices such as olive oil, garlic, herbs and oregano, sumac, pepper and citrus.
I may be able to do this all day, because there are all kinds of barbecues in every corner of the world. Argentina and Chile are famous for beef, South Africa is famous for braai, and so on. Rather than trying to figure out which is the "best", an almost impossible task, I prefer to try all methods.
