The opening ceremonies of Nanchong City's 8th Rural Culture Tourism Festival and Peng'an County's 7th Jialing River Cattle Festival were held in Youfanggou Village, Xiangru Town.
Youfanggou Village is surrounded by mountains and rivers and has a tradition of raising cattle.
More than 20 years ago, the Mahui Hydropower Station was completed and put into operation, causing the water level of the Jialing River to rise, forming two huge islands in the river.
