Subei Middle School is relatively good, and the living facilities around the school are also very complete.

Chenghai Subei Middle School in Shantou City was founded in 1946. Mr. Wang Dingxin, a famous educator and calligrapher, was the first principal.

The school was named "Guangdong Province Modern Educational Technology Experimental School" by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education in 2004; in 2005, it was rated as "Guangdong Province First-Class School".

In 2009, it was rated as "Excellent School for General High School Teaching in Guangdong Province"; in 2012, it was rated as "Green School of Guangdong Province"; in 2013, it passed the second re-evaluation and acceptance of "Guangdong Province First-Class School".

According to the official website of the school in October 2015, there are 178 public teaching staff, including 156 full-time teachers.
